New to me, 2001 Jetta TDI (Turbo Diesel).

I got sick of getting 12 - 14 mpg from my harley truck, so I bought this to putt around in for a while. It gets anywhere from 40 - 50 mpg and have the option to run biodiesel or convert it to wvo.

German engineering in the hoouuusse!

I've owned nothing but VW since '98. 2 Jettas, a Touareg and currently an '06 Passat.

Hope you enjoy it......

Is this a mexican Jetta? Looks nice.

I wouldn't want to think about repair costs

Its a diesel, you don't have to repair it. That's the point.

Kudos to you. If I had the dough to throw down on one I'd get it.

They used to advertise that you could go 700 miles on one freakin tank on those things.

My brother had a Jetta, but his was the 1.8T and I loved it. He bought it new and took it up to about 50,000 miles and never had any problems. Jettas are great cars. Good choice.

My '94 Jetta has almost 180,000 miles on it and still going strong. In the 5 years and 75,000 miles I have had it I have put almost nothing into it except oil changes and tune-ups.

I considerd one of those not too long ago.
Thinking about it again.
At $1.179 a fuggen liter up here :banghead:(OVER $4.00 a gallon US speak) the Cavalier just ain't cutting it with 28-29 MPG anymore.

That Touareg didn't last long. (Or do you still have it?)

I also traded for gas mileage. My Xterra wsas giving me 14 mpg. I traded for an '03 Saab 9-5 and love it. I thnk Euro sports sedans are going to become more popular as gas prices rise.

Nope. I gave it to the ex-wife in the divorce, along with the rather large payment.....
