I'm trying to figure out if I'm the last American who doesn't have a big-screen TV.

36". Not actually a big-screen, but it's pretty big enough. Specially when you sit two feet in front of it.

Until today it was 27' I started a thread with the new largest TV. I buckled. We were the last two without a big screen, but I decided to get NFL Sunday Ticket and wanted the big boy to go with it. It's beautiful. Although the state of my bank account right now is definately not.

Funny thing about me buying a big screen is I log less than 10 hours a week on it watching television. I only got it for Chiefs games and video game playing.

Got rid of my 36" because I was sick of moving it and now have just a 20" old school TV. Hell its smaller than my computer monitor right now.

36" JVC that I bought about six years ago. It's the largest that I could go with our entertainment center.

One of these days, I'll step up to a plasma or LCD, but right now, I just can't justify the expense.

Projectors are nice, but do you have a special darkroom to watch it in?

Glare is a killer, I couldnt use one in my current apt. I need to be able to watch something during the day.

Largest?

5' x 8' Draper "Onyx" HD ready screen w/ h-def capability.

3) 32" 1) being h-def
2) 27"
3) 19"

The h-def screen is in a 30' room w/ no windows accompanied with a 7-in-one RBH speaker system cut into the drywalls, w/ a 150 wwt. Sony sub.

No, just watch it in my living room. It is pretty light sensitive but decent drapes take care of that problem, plus we have a "regular" 27" for normal viewing. I don't really need/want to watch the news blown up to huge proportions.

I love it that I can watch DVDs/sports/whatever in extra large screen and then put the thing away under a coffee table when I'm not watching, instead of having some huge monstrosity taking up space in my not very large living room.

36" JVC. It's been a good TV, for our house.

Is it wrong to upgrade to a 60"+ HD TV for the sole purpose of enjoying sports and an XBOX 360 more? I thought not.

Speaking of HD TV, I caught a snippet on TV on how Hollywood is becoming even MORE obsessed with looks and appearances based on the technology that is HD TV. I found that to be funny.

43" but that's really about as big as I could get given the size of my living room and the whole 10ft rule. Used to have a 35" in the bedroom, but lost that when the girlfriend moved out. Now I'm back to a 17" going to have to resolve this problem quickly. Looking to get a 43" HD widescreen for the bed room. R&G will be very happy  One should be able to do all the really fun stuff in one room... correct?

When I was a kid, and was required by whoever was responsible for me at whatever point intime to go to church, and it interfered with my football viewing pleasure, well, let's just say my attitude got me into trouble.

I'll never step foot into another church again.

I remember being 8 years old, and I would take the church bus home from Sunday School. The driver changed the route every week depending on which kids were on the bus, and it would kill me if he made me one of the later stops, because every minute was a minute of a Chiefs game that I was missing.
