NFT: What ever happened to Murphy?

Murphy, from the Johnny Dare and Murphy show. One day she was there, the next she wasn't. I remember Treetop Tyler moved to New York or something, but never learned what happened to Murphy.

The Mancow thread got me thinking about this. Speaking of which, 97.3 still promotes his show and runs his ads. He did get fired, right?

Mancow just got dumpd by his Chicago affiliate. Last I heard his show was going to continue after that week, he just was planning to move to another studio

I remember noticing on the show that she had less and less to say the closer the day came to her being gone. I also remember them talking about some nasty divorce she went through not too long prior to that. I always thought she just had a breakdown or something.

If I remember correctly, she was fighting the station over some medical leave or some such nonsense. She lost.

It was never addressed on air. I read it on-line. Don't ask me where. I don't recall. I'm headed off to the casino with the Hot Nurse to eat some grub, then off to the drive-in. :)

That show isn't as good as it use to be.......it's basically everyone making fun of the prudeness of Kerri Coogan. It was funny for awhile but how long can they run with that? She really doesn't fit that station or that show.

And for the record ManCow blows and should just go away.

Well, since I can remember the morning show was essentially dick and fart jokes.

After Murphy left KQRC, she went home to Chanute, KS where she was at KINZ. After a year or so there, she went to Denver (I believe).

Mancow was fired from the station he hosted the syndicated show on, !101 in Chicago. His syndicated show continues using some borrowed studios. Since he left Q101, the most recent ratings have been released showing that, from what I understand, his last book in Chicago was way up, making the radio station look really stupid. From what I've heard, there have been some negotiations to bring him back.
