I doubt it, Jayson Stark said earlier the Royals seem content with Grudzy at 2nd as they like his veteran leadership. Maybe we got Tejada to replace Berroa :drool:

I was thinking, I liked Petro when he was on 980 a few years ago, but the 10-15 minutes I gave it today, it sounded just like Keitzman. Boring, inane, and nothing to do with any sport I care about.

but at some point you have to break the losing atmosphere ... and i don't see how we are going to do that we a bunch of rookies. :shrug:

They'll probably sign some more 1-2 year deals with veteran guys till the young guys are ready........then turn around and trade them at the deadline for more guys. When you look at the levels the guys they are getting and the levels they are at.....Moore is obviously thinking 3 years down the line.

yea ... i guess he figures you can sign middle tier veterans just about every offseason.

sign them ..... trade them mid-season for prospects
sign them ..... trade them mid-season for prospects


do that for 2/3 years and your minor leagues are gonna be packed


hopefully we will be ready to bring up a crop of young guys good enough to be competitive by then.

I have much more confidence in Moore's ability to get good players back and make smart moves than I ever did in Allard Baird.
