StcChief

Poll? No steak sauce. Season and cook it right.
Marinade yes.

Depends.
My FIL likes to buy cheap steaks, and ****ing BURN them. I have to use steak sauce in that situation. He usually frets when the family uses it saying "Why ruin a perfectly good piece of meat?" Er..too late.
If it is a decent cut, and cooked right, hell no I don't want steak sauce.

Depends on the type of steak.
Flank? Sure.
Ribeye or filet? No, you should be shot.

Exactly. Good steak should be seared and then Q'd medium rare and then put a little garilc butter on top while you let it rest.

I once brought several bacon wrapped filet mignons to my in-laws. MIL had made a pie, but was out of whipped cream, so I went to the grocery store down the block. In the 7 minutes I was gone the FIL managed to put all the steaks in a marinade. I about shit kittens.

I usually only eat T-bones,the marinade is something I came up with a few years ago that after I take the steaks out I put in a saucepan to simmer and then use as a topping on the steak.

That's nothing.
My Brother in law received a gift back of filet mignons (probably from Omaha Steaks). Thank god they weren't from me, because he put them ALL IN A SLOW COOKER to use at a potluck, claiming "there was no way I could have eaten them all."

Little known fact, 35 of the 57 'ingredients' in Heinz 57 are the esters comprising swamp ass.
