Seems to me that the planet is somewhat split on if Willie really will be back.

All you football Nowledge(Husker spelling) Gods can make your predictions now.

Poll forthcoming.

I said yes just because I'm a homer and would hope a guy of that caliber would let his fans say goodbye.

It's over. To paraphrase the late Douglas Adams: So long and thanks for all the Blocks.

Listening to the interview with Kevin on 810 just now I think what he's saying is right between the lines:

Kevin: It seems to me this team would be willing to do anything for you to come back this year in some capacity which is really rare....Is there anything at all they can do for you to change your mind?

Willie: Long pause.....Yes, I could consider that....and I'd feel greatful for the team to accept me back like that....but like I said Kevin thinking of the guys I've played with and those guys out there....it would be a disservice to come back and try to do something if i'm not there mentally and if my body's not telling me to do it. That's not the way I wanna do it.....AND Kevin on the flip side of this now....I'll tell you what in the past and guys can tell you....we've had issues with the practicing and all the hitting and all the banging....and nothing was ever done about it. So some of this is just a compounding thing.

There's the in.
