And knows of any stable jobs open?

I'm moving to Fairfax, VA in about 2 weeks with my fiance (she got a teaching job out there) and I've applied to about 60 places in the last month and haven't heard a thing back.

Not a thing.

I'm applying to positions I have experience, qualifications and a degree for and not one interview. I had my resume professionally done too.

Does anyone in the DC Metro area know of anywhere decent hiring?

I could use all the help I could get right now.

Thanks in advance.

If it comes to that, I have no choice.

But I'll exhaust every avenue before even considering working there with a degree.

What are you trying to do career-wise?

I have a degree in English with a minor in Communications.

I'm trying to do some writing, researching, editing (any medium), producer or video work.

You'd think in the American MECCA of speechwriting and press releases and all that fun stuff you could find SOMETHING!

I don't know how you get a job with a representative or anything, but that sounds like a good idea. That might be a tough job to get though.

Maybe consider jobs that can be done from home. That way you won't be limited to the DC area. With your skills and education you would seem to be a good candidate for a variety of jobs that would probably be a good fit for working from home via your computer.

Good luck. Hope you get a dream job paying a million bucks a year. (I may ask for a loan in that case....)

I heard the White House is taking applications for a President.

Other than that, my son is moving back to DC from NYC, he got offered a position there starting next week.

While I'm glad that you like horses, I find them disagreeable.

Well that is one way to describe our state representatives.
