Tue, 1 Aug 2006 07:46:25 -0700A. Scott Walton, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons (http://www.kffl.com/team/7/nfl) QB Michael Vick (http://www.kffl.com/player/96/nfl) (knee) left practice Tuesday, August 1, after Vick was inadvertently chopped at the knees by TE Dwayne Blakley (http://www.kffl.com/player/7157/nfl) while the offense was running a "hurry-up" drill. Vick got up and started to gingerly walk off the field. Practice resumed with QB Matt Schaub (http://www.kffl.com/player/9422/nfl) running the offense. No further word yet on Vick's status has been announced.

Vick should've assumed a 'slash' role from the beginning.

Finneran went down for the season a couple days ago. Maybe the team realized that with him out 100% of Vick's passes would be going to Crumpler and defenses might find a way to key off that.
