View Full Version : Larry Johnson Highlight Film II!

Hammock Parties

This contains highlights from the second half of the 2005 season.

The first Larry Johnson reel was stuff from the end of 2004 and the first half of 2005.

There are a couple of new camera angles of highlights that were featured in the first reel.

Thanks to DRU for his video and jidar for the server space once again.

I have considered putting all of my highlight reels on DVD and sending them to the Chiefs. They might play them on the jumbotron.

That reversing-field run against the Bengals was a work of art.

LJ gets a lot of credit, but I also must note that on several of these runs the o-line made sure that no one on the line of scrimmage touched him.

Awesome F'n Video!!

I love the fact that it was in high res.

A nice reminder of how "angry" LJ runs :D

Also, Hot Damn do we have some good blocking on those plays

Rain Man

I like the Trent block on the Bengals run, too.

LJ was playing like a demon against the Chargers. The one play where he picked up an extra three or four yards by sheer leg drive is one of my favorite LJ plays to date. It's the one that likely got him his "Jim Brown" comparison.

The one where he pushed the pile, and you could tell the other defenders were just standing around hoping he would go down

Or, the one where he got his helmet ripped off and got all fired up. I felt the game was over on that very play.

I'm kinda partial to the one vs the Chargers where he tiptoes down the sideline for like 15 yards, breaking two tackles, then falls down in the endzone over the pylon for the TD. Just awesome.

Thanks to DRU for his video and jidar for the server space once again.

Speaking of DRU, I know he mentioned that he won't be offering up new videos anymore due to lack of seeders. He said he would offer the site for uploading but would not provide the file himself anymore

Is anyone going to do better on this in order to get DRU to try this one last time.

I downloaded (and seeded) the highlights clips a lot last year, but I didn't ever do much with the full games. However, if the other option is not having access to them at all, I'd gladly help seed. :D

I love these videos...incredible job on the music timing, editing, etc...great job. However, I now have a problem. I recently bought a laptop and the videos no longer work for me. I have a desktop and when I click on the videos there they will pop up in Windows Media Player and work just fine. However, when I try to play them on my laptop, it immediately loads up as a Quicktime file but then plays only audio. A message pops up saying, "Some necessary Quicktime software is missing...check the Quicktime website." I then downloaded the XviD and DivX codecs and it still doesn't work...

So I have two questions:

1. Why do the videos still not work in Quicktime even after downloading the codecs? Considering the computer is brand new, I would think my version of Quicktime should be working properly...

2. How do I get the videos to open in Windows Media Player (I prefer it to Quicktime)...I'm pretty sure I have Windows Media Player set as my default video player, yet when I click the video it still loads up in Quicktime.

Thanks for any help/answers that anyone might have.

Once again...these videos are incredible!

1. Quicktime sucks. That's about all there is to it.

2. Open Windows Media Player. Go to the "Tools" menu, and select "Options...". Click on the "File Types" tab. Put a check next to all the types of video you want WMP to handle. In this case, the important type is AVI.

Awesome video. My one suggestion would be to make more of a feature of the game-winning touchdown against the Raiders at the end.

Perhaps use the Raider dude's commentary of "this is to win the game or lose the game", pan in on Johnson's face, try and bring out some of that mean streak and then make a feature of the play itself with a nice score.
