Most articles have said that Carl is wanting to make Tony G and Kawika's contracts a priority. However, he has never said anything about Jared Allen! HOW TYPICAL OF CARL! Also, FYI, Tony G has 2 years left at 4.4 MIL, and Sammie Parker is in his last year.

Quality noob rant. Consider yourself proud.

As for the facts, Allen and Parker will be RFAs next year. Meaning that they'll be under contract in 2007. Mitchell is more of a priority because he's a unrestricted FA next year.

Something was in the star earlier this offseason. Something about Allen saying he has produced more than they could of expected out of a 4th rder. Nothing like he would hold out but would like to get something done soon rather than later.

CP was asked about it in the same article. He said he wanted to see Allen become more of a complete end, stopping run etc.

Allen is about 4th on the priorty list behind TG, LJ, KM,. The good thing about Allen is he has a restricted FA year after this current season, IIRC.

We can tender him at a cost of a 1st and 3rd or just a 1st and not lose him.

I have no doubt CP wants to extend him, but doesn't want to discuss another contract publically.

Makes even more sense with the hard line stance against Kennison.

And Tony G's has to be redone every few years to make the cap hit less.

Shut up n00b.

One n00b provided factual, relevant information.

The other provided "TYPICAL CARL!"

So here's one for you:

Shut up n00b.

When are they going to cut Scanlon. He's taking up prescious roster space.

Nope. He'll be unrestricted. As a 2nd rounder, he would have gotten a 4 year deal. The RFA 4th year is for players drafted from lower rounds with 3 year deals.
