So I was just thinking about how when Herm was an assistant here under Marty, we used to wear the all white road unis. I wonder if Herm will go back to those. What do you guys think, and which do you prefer?

I myself like both but if I had to choose it'd be the all white, because that's what I grew up on.

I'm pretty sure with the Jets, Herm did just about all four combos. Green/Green, Green/White, White/Green, White/White. I'm sure someone could find the visual evidence.

Yeah but at least that Green/Green was with white helmets. I think it'd look alright as long as we had white helmets. The all red would be almost too much.

No way will the Chiefs do a bunch of combos like Herm did with the Jets. Lamar won't let that happen. They will stick with red and white for the home games, and either white/white, or white/red for the road games. Lamar is the ultra-traditionalist this league has. No team has changed their uni's less than the Chiefs.

Hmmm... Red Pants I could see if they could work out a stripe pattern that doesn't look too over the top. Not that I'm dissing the photoshop guy who made it, but IMO the white/gold/white strip doesn't fit with a solid sided jersey... Or one with a corresponding stripe for that matter.

But for the LOVE OF CHRIST IN HEAVEN, PLEASE NEVER GO BACK TO WHITE PANTS. IT even pisses me off when the Redskins use that look as well.

Every year I hope they update their old unis. Seems to always help. Look no further than; Bucs, Seahawks, Eagles and Vikings. Each of these teams played much better after uni alterations.

It's a real kick in the pants!

you could add the patriots and donkeys(by the way if you go to espn.com they have a thing about the ugliest uniforms ever, and the donks have the 3rd ugliest football uniforms of all time and 2nd ugliest NFL uniforms of all time and im talking about the current ones) to that list too

but i like the old school look, not to many teams have that going for them. packers, raiders, cowboys, steelers and us are the only ones to stay original

IMHO, the main reason teams change uniforms, other than updating the look a little, is for the $$. Change the helmet decal al la the Patriots or Broncos and all of a sudden every fan needs to buy a new t-shirt and hat.

Speaking of updating the look...I am just waiting for the day when some team decides to have barb wire or some tribal thing around the sleeves on their jerseys. :doh!:

I definetly don't want us to change the style of our uniforms(stripes, numbers, or logo).

I would hate to have black, it reminds me too much of every other lame ass NFL team.

That red on red photoshop looks real good, and I think it'd be cool if we wore something like that for night games(maybe thanksgiving?).

I thought gold pants, or a gold jersey might look alright for the same purpose, to be worn once a yr, but I'd have to see it first. Also we need to get a home night game first, I can't believe we have no Mon. or Sun. nighters. That is BS.

I prefer teh white pants, but if they would change the stripes down the sides of the red pants i could learn to like them.

As for adding black, changing the logo, red on red: NO! This ain't no fashion show, it's football. If you wanna design pretty clothes for yourself to wear that's fine, fag-it-up. But when it comes to my football team, with it's traditional as hell uniform, LEAVE IT ALONE! :cuss: We don't need to be sheep and follow these other teams that think they have to have 50 different jerseys/color combinations.

Ditto. Sure, some folks thought it looked bad, looked "gay," looked "like tampons," or whatever, but you'll always find critics no matter what the combo. Personally, I think the white on white was one of the classier looks we've had.

That would be the Redskins. I've never seen such a logo, at least not an official uniform logo, for the Chiefs at any time since they've been the Kansas City Chiefs. They did have a secondary logo that featured a striding Indian in full headdress carrying a football, but it was never shown on the uniforms, it was just shown on billboards, letterheads and collectibles.

I saw this on NBC during a chiefs braodcast in about 1989 or 1990 ,the Chiefs were playing the silver and crap LA gayders this was a prototype helmet that CP was thinking of using at that time.
