I've had a lot on my mind the last few days, so in order to chill out I put in some good music that lets me relax. So I dusted off the old Beatles collection and fell in love with them all over again (for the 346,804 time).
They seem to defy all logic. They're one of the most popular bands ever, a juggernaut of the music industry. This in itself is usually a sure-tell sign that a band has no integrity to their music, yet the Beatles are chocked full of it.
My favorite song by far is "Across the Universe." It's pure, simple, yet mystical and mysterious. And the lyrics arevery pleasant. Revolution 9 comes in a close second, but I question if that's even a song. I also like "Tomorrow Never Knows," and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," along with , "Helter Skelter" and "A Day In The Life."
Anyway, surely there are some Beatle fans out there, so tell everyone what you like about them, what you don't (if there is anything), and what is your favorite pieces by them.
