Can anyone confirm a change in the old classic rock Camarohead soundtrack? A friend just called and told me they were talking about it on 810, and say it ain't so....no Black Betty?
What the crap is Dante gonna return all those kickoff for TD's to?

I remember something coming up last year, and it having to do with the people that operate the stadium not wanting to pay for the rights to the songs.

Dallman, it's the "Rock and Roll part 2" by Gary Glitter (na na na na na na na na, HEY!!!) after they score a TD. I heard the NFL wants the teams that use that song to stop because Glitter is now in prison for kiddie porn.

I also heard this morning on 810 that they're going to be doing away with "Black Betty." I really hope not. Their suggestions are teh ghey. AC/DC, Metcallica.

If the House is Rocking by SRV would be a good choice for after TDs.

From the KC Star today:

There’s more to the Kansas City Chiefs’ marketing strategy this season than “Polka Dot Princess” thongs for sale in the team’s 2006 official merchandise catalog. And spurred by suggestions from the National Football League that teams cease playing recently convicted child molester Gary Glitter’s ubiquitous “Rock and Roll, Part 2,” the Chiefs are exploring new music to update a few tired tunes that have been around for much of the Carl Peterson era.

It was time, concedes Chiefs spokesdude Bob Moore.“We’re putting in all new music and some other stuff,” Moore says.Music under consideration includes “Elevation” by U2 and AC/DC’s “Hells Bells” as possible replacements for the Ram Jam song “Black Betty” on kickoffs.Passages from the former:I need you to elevate me hereA corner of your lipsIs the orbit of your hipsEclipsePopular as it is in other NFL cities, “Hells Bells” might be a bit much, depending on how the lyrics are edited.I got my bell I’m gonna take you to hellI’m gonna get ya, Satan get yaHells bellsHells bells, you got me ringingHells bells, my temperature’s highHells bells

Hey and how about rocker Sammy Hagar’s song “Red” when the team scores?I’m haunted by the mystery of red.Red knocks ’em dead

Possibly the most questionable consideration: Bon Jovi’s “Lay Your Hands on Me” for when the cheerleaders take the field. Maybe not the ideal advice to give thirstier Chiefs fans. What you get ain’t always what you seeBut satisfaction’s guaranteedThey say what you give is always what you needSo if you want me to lay my hands on youLay your hands on me, lay your hands on me, lay your hands on me…”

These and other new songs, sound effects and promotions are still under consideration, advises Sheldon Mickey, the Chiefs’ senior producer of game and event presentations. Let the record show that the door is always open for fan suggestions at www.kcchiefs.com (http://www.kcchiefs.com/).

From what I hear they are going to start playing more hip hop and stuff the players like. I just hope they play something from the ATL group. They have some NICE stuff comin' from them these days.

I'm glad to see they are making an attempt to update, but at the same time it ucks to say goodbye to some traditions. My biggest problem is the idea of updating by replacing 70s songs with 80s songs. Is there some rule about staying at least 2 decades behind the times?

I love the pregame at Arrowhead because of the tradition and atmosphere but it is lame. KCWolf beating up actors dressed as opposing team fans...Red coaters lined up. Release some ballons...lame ass half time shows. they would do better to just let some youth football players play at halftime than 3/4th's of the stuff they have.

This morning on 810, they were taking calls and playing peoples' suggestions, both for a kickoff song and a touchdown song. Someone did suggest that one for the kickoff song and it got played.

I thought that 'ten thousand fists' by disturbed would be good so I suggested that. (not that I like them or even that song really, but the start of it would be great for kickoff I think.)

They could go colliseum, and bring out lions and non-worthy criminals to fight to the death. It would bring all new meaning to the sea of red at Arrowhead.

I agree. This is a sport, Arrowhead is supposed to be a hostile environment. They don't need to be playing some overproduced, overplayed poppy garbage. We need songs about death and destruction.

The music is played to hype up the fans not the players. The players should be pyched on their own. Then you get the fans getting pyched and loud and that sends the players to the next level of passion. Playing Rap to the white bread crowd of Arrowhead will not excite the crowd.

I'll be yelling my ass off regardless of what music they play, that's why I said the only ones that would like the hip hop are me and the Chiefs players, I definetly don't think the majority of the people that attend will want to hear it.

Ronnie James Dio - The Last In Line.

The Last In Line We're a ship without a storm
The cold without the warm
Light inside the darkness that it needs, yeah

We're a laugh without a tear
The hope without the fear
We are coming - home

We're off to the witch
We may never never never come home
But the magic that we'll feel
Is worth a lifetime

We're all born upon the cross
The throw before the toss
You can release yourself
But the only way is down

We don't come alone
We are fire we are stone
We're the hand that writes
Then quickly moves away

Chorus:
We'll know for the first time
If we're evil or divine
We're the last in line
We're the last in line

Two eyes from the east
It's the angel or the beast
And the answer lies between
The good and bad

We search for the truth
We could die upon the tooth
But the thrill of just the chase
Is worth the pain

Repeat chorus

We're off to the witch
We may never never never come home
But the magic that we'll feel
Is worth a lifetime

We're all born upon the cross
The throw before the toss
You can release yourself
But the only way you go is down

Repeat chorus

OK, how bout this:

1) KC Wolf comes out on his 4-wheeler. Lassos Tony DiPardo and drags him end zone to end zone. Then picks him up and does a pile driver on the 50.

2) Dress up the Red Coaters as opposing players. Let the Chiefs bitch slap them when they come out of the tunnel.

3) Give everyone in the stands a balloon filled with helium....suck the helium, Lamar, Len Dawson, Bob Gretz dress up like Straw Man, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion; put a wig on Bill Grigsby, dress him up like Dorothy, KC Wolf as Toto, Bob Moore as leader of the Munchkins, drop a blocking sled on King Carl dressed as the Wicked Witch and sing "Ding Dong wtih Witch is Dead" at kickoff.

4) Release balloons, let Warthogs fly over and shoot them down over the parking lot.

5) Check youth football players for cover skills, in case Law or Surtain goes down. Billy Bartee sure ain't coverin' anybody.

Opening kickoff tune:
"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath
Touchdown Song:
"House is Rockin" SRV
