It is nice to see that Hasslet's look of annoyed frustration has followed him nicely to StL

Coach

I think now that Martz is gone, and the Rams going more of a balanced offense, that Stephen Jackson is going to put up some good numbers provided that he stays healthy.

Coach

Nice punt.

Peyton Manning is so dreamy.

Anyone want to keep track of how many shots Fox shows of Peyton on the sidelines?

Bob Dole
08-10-2006, 06:27 PM
Bob Dole would have enjoyed that safety a lot more if it had been Peypey getting crushed.

Usually when one of the leagues premier players is in a game they are going to talk about him......

Someone implode the Edward Jones Dome right now please. Two out of my top 5 most hated teams playing against each other means I'm rooting for horrific injuries.

Bob Dole prefers they talk about the game happening on the field rather than some guy patrolling the sidelines.

I bet if you watch a Pats preseason game they'll do the exact same thing with Tom Brady.........Brady annoys me more than Manning does.

Wow. That receiver McDonald basically dove to the ground rather than take a hit. Sad.

I can understand your reasoning, but the Rams WR's always dive to the ground. I know it's annoying and all, but that keeps them from getting lit up like a christmas tree, and then getting injured.

Marvin Harrison does that too........McDonald is small, a ton of small WR's do that so they don't get injured every 5 minutes.

When did they start blacking out pre-season games due to non-sellouts? I know the Rams haven't sold out all their preseason games in the past, yet they've always been on TV here.

I thought someone always bought out the tickets, guess nobody felt they were worth it this time.

Bob Dole was noticing that too. (To the point that Bob Dole checked to make sure that he hadn't rewound the Tivo and forgotten to bring it back to realtime.)

YES!
I was just at a crowded bar in Spokane (wife's HS reunion) and got the waitress to put this game on, instead of the Mariners/rangers game.
GO FOOTBALL!

I don't know what to think about the little "dots" thing FOX is doing for the quarters. I wonder how many people haven't picked up on that. Plus I think that's too small for people with less than perfect vision... having to figure out how many dots are colored, yadda yadda. Why can't they just put a "4th" up there...

I'm a hundred percent with you, bro! I thought it was end of game, and it was half-time?

Like they do that now with bases/runners on in baseball.

Are they trying to appeal to non-english speaking fans? WTF?! They're all watching soccer anyway.

I think it's a bad idea.... funny part is they probably paid a consultant a few million to suggest that....

I don't like the 1st down, etc. graphic that they superimpose on the field either. Tell me the score, the quarter and the time and leave shit alone.....

Interesting game thus far.

I can't watch it with it being blacked out in/near STL.....

According to ESPN's gamecast, the Rams have over 170 yards on the ground......is that right?
