Did anyone see him turn what should have been a loss of 3 yards into a 44 yard gainer?

during that play, Vince Young was found on the sideline telling somebody how he should have won the heisman. Vince would go on to complete 4/11 passes

[logical]That's only 3 yards per carry if you take away that 44 yard run. [logical]

Actually I would have worded it this way.
Thank goodness for the 44 yard run or he would have only averaged 2.9 YPC

how is that logical? you see, he did have a 44-yard run. therefore his average is much higher than 3 yards per carry.

Barry Sanders made a whole career out of stats like that.
1 yard run, 2 yard loss, 2 yard run, 65 yard run, 2 yard loss, 37 yard run.

Now that he has 1 quarter of a preseason game under his belt, how many carries does Deuce get?

Don't sell Mario short. He had a pretty good game with half a tackle while being blocked by a 280 pound LT who has been out of football for two years.

There is no bigger Reggie Bush fan on this board than I am, so I understand the tendency to get ahead of yourself after watching the game. It was a good debut in a pre-season game, and you could see the talent that made him a #2 pick in his long run.
But I'd categorize this as exactly what it is - a good performance in limited playing time during a pre-season game.

I drafted him in the 4th round in the Planet FFL.
I don't think anyone is doubting Reggie Bush's ability to play in the NFL...fantasy-wise, though, it's just not clear how many touches a game he'll get and whether he'll be playing in the red zone.

That would be tough to start him every week if he splits carries with Deuce.
