Its worth a try. Could he be any worse than Hicks.

He could surprise.

He's going to get cut playing D-tackle.

I would rather try him out at backup QB; he seems quick and agile enough.

He's faster than Hicks and probably would do better at one on one with offensive tackles.

Get reall....no one is going to trade for this turd. What are they going to give up?? 2 sticks of gum and an 8th rounder in 2009??

Noooo. lets get a trade for him.

Because highly drafted, underachieving lazy DT's are in such demand.

Sincerely,

He can play the position of lazy, fatass, and useless.

He was signing autographs at camp and was sweating all over.

Completely a discrace.

Sims was almost holding his own last night against the Texans' backup linemen.

Everyone looked bad yesterday, but it was the texans who are a tough team playing in their house so nothing is going to come easy

He's going to get cut playing D-tackle.they won't cut him...

paired with the starter who's big (is it edwards or reed?), sims might do better...

well, it's possible...

I thought they were one of the best 2-14 teams in the league last year. With a few breaks, they could have easily been 5-11.

Like I've said before, Houston is like one big 3rd string team.

Everyone is equal and has a chance.

There's is more competitoin.

Obviously, their 2nd strings and 3rd strings will be better than ours.

There's more of them.

Maybe our toughest preseason game.

I wish they wouldn't have signed law. It's obvouis that we aren't going to compete for a title this year. They should have saved the money so we could make a run a couple years down the road. I guess we are just making that push to be 8-8 again

He actually did play some DE out of the 3-4 alignment last year against Denver and looked really good.

I thought he was injured during both games

Wasn't it until late in the season when he returned?

I also believe he wasn't very effective when returning.

If Sims was a fourth or fifth round pick we wouldnt be having this discussion. All DT's are suppose to do is block up gaps and push the pile, I think you guys are expecting way too much out of a position that is not suppose to do much in the first place.

Rain Man

I expect a #6 overall pick to block up gaps and push the pile, though, and to do it with great skill and enthusiasm.
