He used to do something with his hands that keyed off DT that he was about to hike the ball, have to wonder if he still does that, and if he does, I sure hope it gets leaked to our DL.

I was looking for a picture of that. That is one of the all-time great hits in Chiefs history. I remember when it happened, because I reacted so strongly that my wife came into the room and said, "What happened?" My response was something along the lines of "We just murdered Jeff George."

Duck I think part of the response here is because it's so transparent. George will be the starter in short order. Walters could be a QBotF but he's not ready yet and Brooks IS NOT the answer.

About the second game Brooks consistently overthrows Moss, Moss will lobby for George and he'll get him. George has a million $ arm but a $0.10 head.

Tui is being shopped as we speak..George was signed in case we are agle to move him.

Dennis Green's son, who works for some kind of sports reporting outfit, was interviewed on 610am here in KC this morning and he said something similar. He speculated that the signing was a favor to George and his agent to give them a preseason game audition for the rest of the league because one or two of the Raiders QBs are going to be held out of the game this week. He might have also mentioned that the Raiders are trying to trade Tui (to Cleveland?). If they do trade Tui, George might stick, but otherwise, Green's son doesn't think George will make the final roster.

I think it would be an outstanding story if George finds a job somewhere and manages to get into the starting lineup and have some success before the end of the season. For a guy who has been through as much adversity as he has (admittedly much of it self created), to continue to work to get back into the league and redeem himself as relentlessly as he has, I'd love to see him succeed. I always thought Marty really screwed him in Washington.

Yes, Cleveland is the interested party...

Seriously, You could do alot worse than Jeff George as a 3rd string QB, and ALOT of teams do, including the Chiefs..

I prefer my 3rd string to be an up and comer over a washed up QB. Needless to say that I'm not overly happy with Huard.

I'm a little annoyed that he didn't sign with Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Pittsburgh. He needs one of those teams to complete his set.

NFC East - Washington
NFC North - Chicago and Minnesota
NFC South - Atlanta
NFC West - Seattle
AFC East - None now, but he played for Indy when they were in the AFC East
AFC North - None!
AFC South - Indy, though they were in the East when he was there
AFC West - Raiders (twice)

Agreed. George just wasnt a good fit for Jimmy Raye's dink and dunk offense that season. If he still has the cannon, he would be a great fit for an offense that loves to air it out like the Raiders....Who knows? He could end up being the sleeper QB of the year? Stranger things have happened.

I'm sure is arm is still fine. His problem is when he audibles away for the called play/accuracy on throws ect. Mostly it's just his decision making. Also he's lost his burst in scrambling. :D
