Just a heads up for anyone in the midwest who gets St. Louis Cardinals games. Washington leads St. Louis 2-0. Ramon Ortiz has just finished the 8th inning, he's throwing a no-hitter. It was 0-0 for most of the game until Austin Kearns just hit a homer in the 7th.

I don't think there's been a no hitter in baseball since Randy Johnson's perfect game a couple years ago.

And Ramon Ortiz just homered to lead off the 8th! 3-0 Nationals. Hahaha... talk about a great day for a pitcher.

Going to the top of the 9th. That bottom of the 8th took a while, be interested to see if that bothers Ortiz.

Plus, he does have to face Pujols 3rd in the inning.

would you rather throw a no no or throw a 1 hitter and go deep in a game.

And Pujols hits one about 15 miles into the upper deck. Wow.

since no hitters are so rare i'd take that...but as bad a hitter as ortiz is that's probably the only homer he'll ever hit.

Heh.

I remember the Randy Johnson's perfect game. IIRC, it was either you or me that started that thread.

Nats win. I'll take the blame for that one, I jinxed it, haha. Figured everybody would want to follow it and see if the Cards got no-hit.
