Looks like a sequel to Saving Private Ryan.....Im sure it will be good. Eastwood is a master.

Looks pretty good from the trailer. Possibly a bit melodramatic but with Eastwood I don't think it will be.

Also for those of us that haven't watched all that many old war movies its nice to see a WWII flilm set in the Pacific Theater.

An interesting factoid about this flick is that Eastwood actually filmed two movies. This one from the American perspective, and another one from the Japenese perspective of Iwo Jima. Its called "Letters from Iwo Jima" ans is supposed to be released just a few weeks after Flags:

It was originally, but they changed the name recently.

I read the book. It tells the story of the lives of the Marines who raised the flag on Iwo. I'd really like to see the movie.
