Is tonight the Manning Bowl?

Peter King just reported that the Chiefs are incensed at the refs for not throwing a flag on Geathers. Peterson will be making a phone call to the head of officiating and will protest the game. He wants the refs to admit they made a mistake. Not that it matters much. The refs admit all the time they make mistakes after the fact, but they are never held accountable.

I don't like the chairs, this means we'll see them beating off when Favre/Manning/Palmer is mentioned.

Im actually liking the format so far. Except for Michael Irvin lite = Sterling Sharpe.

Maybe we'll get one of those "Heheh. Sorry 'bout that!" letters.

I was really looking forward to SNF, but you just reminded me it's the Manning bros. I almost don't want to watch now.

Maybe the ground will open up and swallow them both.

I kept waiting from "Prime Time" on ESPN. I hate Collinsworth. Just as bad as Cross, IMO.

Someone tell me that this is the worst name for a television show ever lawl. What would've been better is if they added some periods and another exclamation point or two in the name such as "Sunday Night Football... in America!!!"

I want my PrimeTime...

They had something special with the nicknames and stuff.

Yea, it appears as though ESPN wont be having that anymore so they dont have to compete with this show. Plus, they will probably concentrate all their efforts into their Monday Night package.

I wish this was a night I could get drunk off of my arse. It would be a fun game to play a drinking game with, like

Every time you hear the word "brothers" take a drink.
Every time they show the two Mannings in split screen, take 4 drinks.

Feel free to add your own rules.

Drink twice any time Archie or Mrs. Manning is shown.
Drink any time special significance is pointed out about the colts no-huddle.
Drink any time Madden comments on Manning making hand signals at the line.
Chug a whole beer if Tony Dungy's expression changes.

We'd all be shitfaced by the time the ten minute marker came up in the first quarter.

That's the point if you need a game to get faced, eh?

Drink every time Peyton waves his arms all over the place like a fuggin idiot.

With that rule alone, you'd be passed out in around 10 minutes.

Did anyone else notice a ref go out of his way to fix Peyton's shoulderpad? His pad was hanging out of his jersey, and a ref pulled the jersey back over the pad.

Do they do that to other players? Or just the chosen one?

He must be Peyton's "special" ref. Was it the back judge? :)

The ref actually cut his finger and wanted to use the healing power of Manning's equipment to magically repair the wound.

Plaxico gets nailed for a crack back block where he hits the defender in the shoulder pads. Madden is so blind he says "You can't hit the guy in the knees."

So you take the best pass rusher of the last 5 years and you send him out in pass coverage. Brilliant!

Buress is pretty good at tipping balls to himself. It's his 3rd one tonight and for a TD.
