I knew this thread would show up sooner or later.

No. He needs a year watching from the sidelines and an o-line to keep him from being pummeled into little pieces.

The only way Croyle starts a single game this season is if Trent and Huard are both out.

We should totally screw up his development in order to have him serve as a short-term stop gap!

And if we're lucky, he can be battered to within an inch of his life to boot!

As much as I want Croyle to play now, it would be best if he just hung out on the sidelines. I wonder if Printers will be put on the active roster or they will go out and get someone for a few games.

You know, that might not be a bad option. No use any of our long-term QB projects should take a beating because of this line's poor blocking if we could get George to take the hits for them.

Yeah, that's a great idea. We could turn Croyle into the next Charlie Batch!

Uhhhh, no.

Bring Printers back, seeing as how our QB's apparently need to be able to run to survive.......

I'd like to see Croyle play in 2009, not get decapitated in a meaningless game against the 49ers......

If I-65 is still lining up at RT, we better not start Croyle.

You should have your signature pic of arrowhead updated with a missle hit right in the middle of it.

I say let Brodie play, he is our QB of the future-and the future is upon us.

Well, if the worst is to rear its ugly head, and Trent's injury is much worse than reported..... Then yeah, we start grooming now. Huard gets the start this week then Croyle goes after the bye.

I wouldn't use a QB worth two cents behind this NO line.

I don't like Croyle but at this point I say we go with him that way we will know if we have to use our first pick in next years draft on Quinn or not.

Bring Printers back. Run lots of bootlegs with Printers going one way and LJ the other. Might work.

Do we really want to trust our QBOTF behind Jordan Black? That's like playing Russian roulette with 4 hollow-points and two black talons. You're certainly going to get your brains blow out, it's just a matter of probability on how it gets done.

I say put Croyle in. Huard is not going to win games for us. To continue to play Huard is to concede those games.

I also don't buy into this "protect the rookie's psyche" stuff. Sure, it's not the ideal way to bring him in, but the point of carrying these players on the roster is to be able to use them when necessary. If Croyle truly is the QBotF, he'll survive the adversity.

And if the O-line keeps playing like it is, we're going to lose Huard soon enough anyway. Solari better start figuring our ways for the QB to get rid of the ball quicker. This offense seems to be incapable of exploiting a heavy rush. It's time to back off the 15 yard pass patterns, and start running guys on routes that allow the QB to get rid of the ball quickly.

I say we send Herm back to the Jets for Brad Smith and install the option offense.
