If so, how effective will he be?

Better run blocking. Probably not a huge improvement in pass blocking.
It will be hard to tell without Green in the game. Both ours and Denver's gameplans are going to reflect it, so it won't be a comparable sample to last week.

I have zero faith in Sampson in pass protection. I'm afraid he might end up making Black look good in that regard. He might help the run game though.

I want him in. The one thing he might do that Black won't is improve with experience.

I agree but given our bad situation passing wise LJ is going to be constantly facing 8 men in the box and we won't see any real improvement there either.

Run blocking...will be good,
he won't need to pass block
their won't be many of those to worry about

Denver doesn't have any defensive lineman that can get after the quarterback so in that respect he might *look* better.....but then again that should be cancelled out by Huards propensity to hold onto the ball and stand like a statue in theere.

The Chiefs could go into the bar and sign any 300 lb **** to play tackle, and he would play better than Black.

The way I see it, there is at least a 22.5% chance the defensive end will trip over that big pad Sampson has behind his neck on his way to the QB. Therefore giving up 1 less sack.
That makes him better.
