What's the magic number to avoid 100 losses this year? I thought I read that they have to win less than 50% of their remaining games to do it, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

The Royals matched last year’s victory total in improving to 56-90 and need to win just seven of 16 remaining games to avoid a third straight 100-loss season.

Screw the naysayers...

This team has played better than the Red Soxs since the All Star break, and personally, I love what the new GM has done. KC is dying to support the Royals and the Chiefs. Look just a few years ago when they finished 2nd and the number of season ticket holders signed up the next year. KC wants a winner, its just hard to show up when you have been watching a proud fanchise get kicked in the teeth for the past decade after being one of the top tier teams of the 80's and before.

Shit, I still run into people that talk about how much they used to love watching the Royals battle the Yanks back in the day that have no tie to KC whatsoever!

Screw the magic number (to avoid 100 losses)!! I want to see the Royals achieve the TRAGIC number to lock up the #1 pick in the 2007 draft!
