Says they were "really close" to putting up 40 against us.. ROFL yeah 34 more points is his idea of "really close" I'm benching him on my fantasy team for Stallworth this week because I think he has a concussion. :)

I was very impressed with the Lions defense though.. They were JACKED!

"We're really close," Williams said. "We watched film today. It was stupid how close we were to putting 40 points on the board, and it's ridiculous. ...

I think they need to draft an early WR next year.

I saw that quote in my local fishwrap today as well.....

I guess I really can't fault the guy......probably thinking he'd help fuel the fire.......

Right or wrong, he's showing an attitude about the game not seen in Detroit for years. If the rest of the team joins, they could really surprise some people, like they did on Sunday.....

I'm starting Williams as my second receiver, so I hope the Lions put up some touchdowns. He has the talent to back up what he's saying.

34 more points? That would've been 11 more field goals and an extra point.

So the magic extra point try kicks in when you hit 13 fields.

Like a bakers dozen.

The article also stated he backed off.

"We'll win this game," Williams said Monday. "You can take that as a guarantee … or whatnot, but we will win this game."

When asked a few moments later if he was making a Rasheed Wallace-style guarantee, Williams backed off.

It was a little bit like the penalty he got for illegal motion -- when he moved up on the line, backed up, then moved up again. The official threw the flag, nullifying an 18-yard run by Jones.

"I'm just saying, we're going to go out there and play the way we supposed to play, and when we play the way we're supposed to play, we're supposed to win," Williams said. "That's what I'm saying. We're supposed to win."

With that prophetic quote from Williams, I think all of you in the Planet's knockout league should choose the Lions....just to be safe!
