Another animal-named team. Lets get the mojo out of the mothballs, and make it happen in Denver this year!

Should be an interesting game. Id love a W. Lets get it.

IMO, it's just about the right time to start the ***OFFICIAL THREAD***, i'm already envisioning the play's in my head & going down my mental checklist to make sure i'm ready ready to make something happen for us tomorrow.................GO CHIEFS

the only question is, do you have enough beer to get you through if your plays don't work out?

REALITY CHECK:

In the past 22 years (Elway-present), the Chiefs have won in Denver exactly 4 times.

1999, 2000 - First two Griese years in Denver. No Elway or TD.
1995 - Chiefs had thier first 13 win season ever
1994 - Spectacular comeback by Montana on MNF.

Are the Chiefs going to make history in Denver tomorrow with a backup quarterback, a tattered O-line, and a questionable D?

Anything can happen on any given sunday in the NFL, but if history is an indicator, it will be a miracle if the Chiefs win tomorrow!

In the same time span (22 years), Denver has won in Arrowhead 7 times:

1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1994, 1998, 2002

1994 was a strange year: Denver won in Arrowhead and KC won in Denver (MNF game). This only happened one other time, 1974.

Generally, the teams win at home whenever they play each other.

so when the chiefs win at pile high, they seem to win back to back years

I'm seriously considering Neg Rep for this.

I just hope it's a good enough game that I don't decide to turn it off at halftime. Or before.

You know nothing of the Power of the Planet yet young poster. The Planet has considerable influence on game play. Starting a ****OFFICIAL Game Day thread***** threads any day before the day fo the game ALWAYS results in a loss. It's bad medicine.

With the way my teams are doing this weekend, I'm seriously considering rooting for the Donkeys.

Our HS lost it's first game in 2 years friday - first loss I've seen. The other one was to the 5A champs the prior year on their home field and we kept the game close. Friday was a loss to a 2A school and killed an 86 game home winning streak. The refs were a HUGE help. They were helping the other team left and right. Bottom line, we should have been blowing the other team out by half-time and didn't so the L is on our team but Geesh, why can't the refs just let them play and not interfere? Just one play for example of the calls... there's 35 seconds to go we got the ball on our 20 down by 1 point (another ref assist that got our HC in each of their faces an unsportsman-like conduct penalty on him) Anyhow, first down, we move the ball past the 30 and a flag comes out. First and 20 now, we move the ball 15 yards and are on the 25, another flag comes out. Ends up on 4th down, we are 20 yards out, our QB throws the ball and the WR catches it on the 31. The refs signaled for change of possesion and NEVER SPOTED THE BALL. As a result of another earfull, the refs called another unsportsman-lie penalty - AND STEPPED OF 15 YARDS FROM THE 31 YARD LINE!!!!

I'm sure most here know about the OU game and how the refs handed that one away.

MU is in NM tonight, if they lose, I'm rooting for the Donkeys tommorow.

With the way my teams are doing this weekend, I'm seriously considering rooting for the Donkeys.I'm from West Virginia and hate Maryland, so Thursday night was sweet. I wanted KU to win last night but I don't have a real allegience. I'm a Michigan fan, so I figure I've just had my shining moment of the season. I think Nebraska's going to lose, which would be sweet.

I've used up all my mojo today apparently...I'm sure most here know about the OU game and how the refs handed that one away.I'll say what I said in the college football thread: forget the refs. They had the opportunity to win the game outright with a 44-yard field goal. They didn't execute.MU is in NM tonight, if they lose, I'm rooting for the Donkeys tommorow.I'm watching that one, too. MU's been disappointing so far. And now someone's injured. Jamar Smith.

I do agree with that. But had the CLEAR calls been made, it wouldn't have came down to that.

according to those stats, the chiefs are due for a win at pile high, the bad news is the donks are due for a win at arrowhead

It would be a lot nicer leaving the stadium with a Chiefs W tomorrow. I've been to Donco's stadium the last 3 years and it sucks leaving all painted red with the big L.
