I'm losing 90-92 in my FFL...I have Heath Miller and my opponent has Pittsburgh D. Another 87 yd TD pass to Miller won't hurt. :)

Agreed. Yea it was mentioned on a few of the national publications that the 2nd crew last week blew everyone away. Jaws is just the best in the business of breaking down a play. Unfortunately, i think the networks want more flash than actual substance from these crews because they feel the more "average, casual" fan watches these national games.

Nobody cares outside of KC. I honestly believe if it would have been one of the Mannings or Palmer, it would be the lead story on ESPN , every radio show in america, and the NBC nightly news every day and every nite.

Coach
09-18-2006, 07:48 PM
And they lose attention of the game, and starts to talk about Wade. :shake:

Seriously, if I was to run a TV business, and we get a NFL football on my program, I would only hire people who can actually break down the game, and give analysis, and a coach who can provide his knowledge to viewers, like Vermeil and Jaws.

I do not want my guys to ramble on about someone's intestines, or the possibility of it splattering on the football field. Take that shit back to the XFL.

I want my announcers to tell the viewers where they see a potentional mis-match on the field before it actually happens. I want my announcers to tell the viewers on why a certain play work or didn't work, and with logic reasoning.

Jones looked like a man among boys at Arkansas. He played both QB and WR and was a forward on the Hogs Basketball team. Herzig played golf with him and said he hits the ball a mile. Super athlete. Big dude, 6'6" with sprinter speed. (4.3)

NBC's Sunday night package stole ESPN's thunder.

The NFL wanted to shift the big game from Monday Night to Sunday Night in order to implement flex scheduling late in the season. The way to do that is to get MNF off of the network and onto ESPN. All according to plan, so far.

Yea, i cant wait to see how that flex scheduling will work out. I think they have to select a game like 10 days in advance. I can imagine CBS or FOX getting pissed once NBC steals a potenially big game though.

I wish we had a coach like Del Rio. He gets it. In the 4th quarter with a slim lead he didn't just run the ball to kill the clock. They took shots at the endzone to try to put the game away. They didn't play scared. They didn't want to play for overtime.

MahiMike

I was there. Best atmosphere I've ever seen. Typically the Steelers fans outnumber the Jags and all you see is those stupid yellow towels. Last night, you couldn't see or hear them. Shut those bastards out! Now THAT's a defense.

I was at the game last night and that defense looked pretty damn tough. There was a lot of hard hitting going on for both sides. I still don't think that Leftwich is a "Super Bowl" QB, but their defense should keep them in most of the games this year. I still don't see them unseeding the Colts this year, though.
