That was pretty hilarious. People seem to like to bag on Weird Al, but he's actually pretty clever and really good at jamming a lot of great jokes into one song.

I believe all the songs on the CD will have animated videos as well. I know John K of Ren n Stimpy fame did one.

That was pretty funny. I agree, the guy is good, hes been doing this for 20+ years now and still going strong. His 1989 movie "UHF" is a cult classic.

This is already out on one of the torrent sites. I downloaded it last night and listened to it today.

Great stuff. "Pancreas" is another bodily humor masterpiece, "Trapped in the Drive Thru" is another long piece full of silliness much like "Albuquerque," and "Weasel Stomping Day" is just bust a gut funny.

We used to smoke so much weed listening to Weird Al on Sunday nights. Those were the days 20 years ago.

Al is only 47. He has been putting out parody albums since 1983. He has released 12 albums in that time span. He's the greatest parody artist of the modern generation. Show some respect.

i have been listening to this cat since I was a kid. He is a very weird character... albeit hilarious at times.

Having said that... My favorite songs are

Yoda
One More Minute
Dare to Be Stupid
Gotta Boogie
All About the Pentiums

Kurt Cobain called Weird Al "an American pop rock genius."

Kurt Cobain called Weird Al "an American pop rock genius."

Link please? When did he say that? in the early 90's after his parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" ??

Hammock Parties

According to wikipedia, it was in Cobain's private journals.

More interesting trivia:

Paul McCartney refused Yankovic permission to record a parody of Wings' "Live and Let Die", entitled "Chicken Pot Pie", because McCartney is a vegetarian. It has been performed numerous times in concert, however.

Jeez. Get a grip, Paul.

For what it's worth, he's got a few of the other songs available on his myspace site:

"Don't Download This Song" is classic.

As a long time Weird Al fan I think it's a very funny song and a great video.

I thought Donnie Osmond was hysterical and did anyone else notice Al looked a lot like Eric Forman with glasses?

There are also a lot of little jokes inside the video if you watch closely, like his Myspace friends, the questions on the trivia card (How many Wicket men are there on a 43-Man Squamish team?), typing YOU SUCK on Atlantic Records wikipedia page...

I was a HUGE fan when I was younger (I own most of his albums). I've kind of outgrown him, though. I still think he's funny, but a quick listen through of the album once is enough for me anymore.

Yeah, I really like Weird Al but was relatively unimpressed with this particular parody.

Didn't his parents tragically die? They were murdered or their house blew up from a gas leak or something like that. Right?
