Priest Holmes is #27 now?

Heard it on Sirius tonight. How is he doing on fumbles? TDs?

I truly miss Priest, he did not fumble.

He did near the end.

He did near the end.

Only when injured, he spoiled us. LJ is actually probably pretty close to normal on fumbles per carry. PH was amazing, less than a hand full of fumbles his whole time here.

He did during the one playoff game of the Vermeil era. He was caught from behind after a long run, stripped of the ball, and KC never could catch up to Indy, since the worst defense in the league was unable to force one punt from the Colts.

Yep, that is one I remember. The horsecollar tackle put him down, illegal now. Anyone that thinks Priest was a fumbler, did not watch him play. I would love for someone to post the stats.

LJ fumbled during the denver game due to lack of confidance in his hands -IMO-

I had heard a interview with him where he stated that if he was wearing gloves he was not sure of his hands-

he had gloves on for the denver game

Priest, as a Chief, had 1521 touches, 11 fumbles. 1 every 138.2 touches

LJ has 6 fumbles on 586 touches. 1 every 97.6 touches.

This is carries and receptions combined for obvious reasons.

Nah, he went for a spin move on top of the pile and someone put a hat on the ball. Not really LJ's fault, good job on the defensive player (boo hiss!).

Thanks, obviously I was in error. I thought the gap was much wider than that.

I think LJ is still learning. He hasn't played that much football. He didn't start until his Sr. year at Penn State. He is just now starting to carry the ball in his left arm.

Some of it is because of his second effort. The second effort often leaves the ball in a position for a defender to get a helmet or a hand on the ball. IMO

priest fumbled vs the colts in the playoffs fighting for extra yards more so than the tackle IMO

Both the holmes fumble durng the indy game, and the johnson fumble sunday were second effort fumbles. You knew priest would lose the ball with six colts standing around trying to strip it. If he had hit the ground when he had six guys on him like he should have, we might have won.

Yeah, but if they didn't try to get the extra yard then we would be bitching at them about that too so who knows?

Who cares? We're 0-2. I'd rather him be last in the NFL in the category and be 2-0, or even 1-1.

Even though the offense seems to have lost it's burst. It is reassuring to know LJ is still a threat. Hope

Not really.

He was caught from behind and it was knocked out easily because it wasn't secured.

Johnson's fumbles often are because he's fighting for extra yards. His last one would be a solid example of that.

The play that Priest fumbled on was a very long developing play that you didn't expect him to break for such a long gain. He fumbled because he was caught from behind, and because he was also a bit gassed from what had transpired in a long ass play.

unfortunately LJ won't be the leader after this weekend...
