Early games.

U of L up 10-0 on KSU at the half.

KSU playing pretty solid D. O had the ball at U of L 9 yard line with 30+ secs to play in the half, Meier got hit and his pass got picked.

Colorado up 10-0 on Georgia at the half. Surprising.

Late games:

ISU - UT

USF @ KU

Army @ Baylor

Troy @ UNL

Middle Tenn @ OU

I honestly thought KSU would win this one easily. Louisville is missing their top two offensive weapons; even a weak K-State team should be able to win this one.

Of course, I thought Mizzou would win as well, but they're playing pretty poorly.

I understand Michigan/Wisconsin, and I'm surprised it's on the front page of espn.com like it's a huge shocker that Michigan is only up 7... if Michigan lost, I'd think of it as pretty standard routine.

Colorado at Georgia though? That's a shocker

Checked out GameCast and it might take a miracle for Georgia to come back.... Colorado with 172 rushing yards, more than Georgia's 85 total yards (79 passing, 6 rushing). I'm surprised Colorado's only had it 23/40 minutes. Georgia needs Colorado to implode, and that might not be enough.

K-state's had a decent game on defense, but their offense is downright embarrasing. Freaking Kentucky put 28 points on them at Louisville. If they could do anything when they have the ball, they might've had a chance.

Not to be too picky but that game was in 1990. I had to look it up as I am not a big follower of college ball but remember that game well. I figured it had to be 90 or 91 since I moved to Columbia from the Northwest in 1990 and wouldn't have even noticed this game if I hadn't been living there at the time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_Down

Intersting note, see the bottom of that link where there was a similar situation in 1940 where the winning team forfeited the win. Wonder if Oregon should make note of that as well. :hmmm:

CU should have definitely forfeited that game. I still consider that game a win for Missouri because they did beat CU and stopped them on all 4 downs. Not to mention that Charles Johnson didn't even get in on 5th down but the officials gave him the TD.

The line doesn't look good, but Dylan Meier has looked awful every time I've seen him so far. Throwing short-hops to the receivers, flat out missing guys who are open. Did he get hurt in this game, or did they just give up and bench him?

Their defense has looked great, though. Like people have said, if they'd gotten any production from the offense they would have been right in it today.

We play real teams every week....we play GT next week in Blacksburg

No, I mean even a half way decent team. Notre Dame's clearly not a top team, but they've played 4 teams better than any team Va Tech's played. Just wait till the Hokies have to play a pretty good team. They don't have an offense. Glennon sucks.

It sounds like we'll be seeing Quinn wearing silver and black. If not him, than Adrian Peterson. I'm looking forward to it.

Oakland needs line help more than anything. They're not going to be any good regardless of who they line up back there.

I didn't know that...interesting....I wonder why the change.

It's normally been ACC vs Big East or ND, but they decided to include the Big 12 this year. I think they decided to include the Big 12 after Virginia Tech, Boston College and Miami all left the Big East to join the ACC. With all of those teams leaving the Big East, the Gator Bowl wanted to expand to the Big 12 so they wouldn't be forced to take a smaller Big East team that wouldn't draw well.

Glennon is playing in his first season...he's doing alright and this is a down year for us in the two main phases of our game. We lost many talented seniors, however....we're doing pretty good with what we've got...and it's only going to get better.

That makes sense. I don't even go when the Hokies make the Gatoe Bowl anymore....it gets old.

S. Florida is giving KU all they want. They look like a good offensive team as they average 400 yards per game. But maybe we are just shitty.

For the next few weeks ND doesn't play anybody...what are you going to do when UNC beats them and the Hokies beats GT next week? And we've done what we shouljd have against teams we've played...and that's beat them...but we weren't preseason top 5 either.

West Virginia and Louisville have both brought a lot of fans when they've played here, but that's about it as far as the Big East. Both of those teams could get a BCS bid this year, but I have a feeling that the Gator Bowl would still take ND even if they went 6-5.

My Uncle lives there...and it's a good time for the bowl game. We head down to the landing and drink beers...or head out to A1. I think either WVU or LU will be in the Gator Bowl. It would be weird to see ...KSU vs WVU in the Gator Bowl

You think North Carolina is going to beat Notre Dame? Are you really being an ACC homer? It's an awful conference.

We're as big as we need to be.....they've been to a bowl game ever since I started as a student there. 1993/94 season...we got a liberty bowl victory....I was in New Orleans when we stomped Texas in 95/96....I was there when FSU beat us in the NAtional Championship game....that's pretty big

The landing is pretty fun during New Years, but it is not near big enough to hold everyone.

It's got nothing to do with it...I'm saying all the planets and stars will align and UNC will beat ND by 3
