Ok, my friend is opening up a business making specialty and wedding cakes.
BUT she can't pick a name...
Here are some samples of her work...
I always thought that "Free Pu$$y, Inc." would make a very good business name, Mr. AustinChief.

As a web developer and designer for over ten years...
I would say that each of these names arent very good. Cakeism.com is okay... artistcakes is okay... the others are very long and unmemorable.
You need something that is memorable.

any more suggestions, comments? I think the girls are going with Cakeism... which I hate, simply because it is too nonsensical for me...

"Cakeism" is no good because no one will remember if it is spelled with or without an "e." Also, it isn't that clever and really makes no sense. Seriously, if they are going to choose something that isn't clever they should at least choose something that makes sense and is easy to spell.
A bit simple but "Custom Cakes" would probably at least tell people what kind of company it is and everyone could spell it.

The only problem is that it also need to be an available webpage... The best I have heard is Edible Art... but that domain is long gone...
The ones in the POLL are all domains they own already

Easy fix: Insert her name at the front of the title, as in "Betty's Custom Cakes" or at the end of the title, as in "Custom Cakes by Betty." Problem solved, no?
Might also look for some synonym to the word custom such as "personalized" or "individualized" or something.

Business idea- I saw in "Shock" magazine a baker was making bread in the shape of heads by mold. It was pretty dang cool. They looke realistic. I wish I had some pics. It's a great way for someone in that biz to diversify.
