We've added Law and Walls, DJ has gotten better, and is on his way to the kind of player we expect him to be, but the one guy that has made a BIG difference is Tamba.

Between he and Allen, we are getting to the QB, forcing him to trow sooner than he would like, or getting sacks.

SF had the 4th ranked (yardage) offense coming into the game, 6th in passing at over 260 yards/game, 11th in rushing with just under 120 yards/game and 9th in scoring at 23.7 ppg. They hadn't thrown a pick in '06 and had only given up 4 sacks in 3 weeks.

Herm's on the radio saying 'Expectations are very, very high if you're going to play defense here, now'.

And rightly so.

Great game by the D. Now we have to win on the road to become a serious contender

With the way they are playing that's like asking, you want Pie or Cake?

:)

I agree with what you've said but I would put the maturation of Mitchell at MLB as equal if not more important than any other player. He's become a beast at MLB. :thumb:

Listening to a radio interview after the game, it was entertaining to hear DJ talk about how he and Mitchell are competing at LB, trying to get to the ballcarrier first.

Mitchell has really been laying the wood this year, and they're both all over the damn field. It's insane to watch, especially when you think back to the Mike maSLOWski/Lew Bush/Marvcus Patton days.

Yeah I thought about that after I posted.

He has become a leader for this D.

Key Fox is going to earn his way on the field too. He was all over the field on special teams. I don't know why he isn't starting, but those three together will be incredible.
