Somhow i just can't help but laugh, but what do you expect your talking about the royals the second you give up hope on them. Then they turn it around and pull off wins from behind and sweep Detroit..lol

Alex Gordon was the #2 pick. There will be plenty of talent there for KC to choose from.

And the early talk for the #1 pick mostly seems to be about David Price, a LHP from Vandy. Only the guy at the Star seems to think that catcher from Ga. Tech is a possible #1. But most people thought Andrew Miller would be the top pick in the last draft, and he didn't go until the 10th spot, so who knows?

I like the second pick. In Dayton we trust!

Over on Royalboard some people act as if our first pick isn't until round 6 now. As much as we like to think we need some stud catcher we need pitching 10 times more. I don't think it is John Buck with his .245 average 11 HR's, and 50 RBI's that is holding this team back. The guy punched Runelvys, what more could you ask for?

I thought the Royals drafted for signability anyway.

Moral victories!

I would love to understand how the Baseball draft order works, but I may not live long enough.

I agree, that there is alot more wrong with this team than our catcher, but Buck is garbage. I also would always take a stud position player over a pitcher in the first round, because pitchers are much less of a sure thing in my opinion.

But, I trust Dayton will get the right guy.

I would say Price will go 1st overall so Wieters the catcher from Ga Tech and Main the HS pitcher from Florida would still be real good options at #2.

Plenty of other options I'm sure but those are the 3 I have heard mentioned the most.

I had a little money on Minnesota to win the division, so the Royals come through for me.
