There's no love for our defense here.

Kansas City (1-2) at Arizona (1-3)
Matt Leinart is the right man to lead this team, and a 70-percent passing day shows it.
Arizona 19, Kansas City 10

Thoughts?

I must have missed something. Is Peter Kink referring to last week's game?

Did the Californian have a 70% completion percentage?

Leinart does concern me alot more than Warner. They have the talent on both sides of the ball to beat the Chiefs. King's prediction is not that far fetched IMO.

Good I hope people keep doubting our defense. And we keep proving them wrong every week. I like having a defense with a chip on their shoulder.

I think he may have..with his 8 passes, pick and fumble. :)

I do, however, think he's saying Leinart will pass 70% on us.

I do not understand why anyone cares what Peter King or anyother media reporter says. For the most part, they are usually wrong on some aspect of what they say. He is trying to make an entertaining story. That is all. I could give two sh*ts how he thinks we will play. All I care about is how we actually play.

That stifling. LJ should've had 224.

If he completes 70% of his passes, it's because he took 3-step drops and threw 5-7-yard quick outs and slants to open receivers with DBs playing 10 yards off.

If they start that shit, Gun better adjust and put Law and Surtain on the line. Have some confidence that they won't get burnt deep with a rookie QB back there.

No, no. If that had happened, his memories would be fond....and he'd probably LIKE the Chiefs. :hmmm:

IMO, King's hatred of the Chiefs comes from when he gave an interview on Grunhard and Maas's show. They were asking him his thoughts on Vermeil, and he started his response with "I love Dick". Of course, the engineers got a hold of that, and you heard Peter King saying "I love Dick" for weeks on end.

Obviously, he takes offense to people knowing he loves Dick.

I've spent the past 30 minutes looking for the last time an Arizona Cardinals QB had a 70% completion percentage for a game......

September 26, 2004.

Arizona @ Atlanta.

Atlanta wins 6-3.

Josh McCown completes 20-26 (76.9%) for 198 yards.

Warner came close twice last year, both against the Rams......

i posted this in another thread. Leinart has the potential to be our next elway. get ahead early and make him have to pass. if we do this then this will be a game Leinart will want to forget. if the game stays close then you have a potential for him to do an elway on us. no thanks!

No matter what happens I wish we had him as our QBFTF, he's going to
be a great QB! Very smart guy! Brady like, tough too.

What do you mean no love? He didn'y say anything that wasn't true. He also didn't say anything necessarily negative about our defense either. You think him noting that we havent allowed a TD in 10 qts is no love? What's he supposed to say, "Man I love the Chiefs defense, it's one of the best in the NFL, and Leinart doesn't stand a chance"? From what I hear, four ticket-holders dressed as nurses behind the Dallas bench will attempt to throw aspirin at Terrell Owens at some point Sunday. Oh, yes. There is a football game planned as well.

I dont think thats necessarily a bash on our defense. If it was then he wouldnt mention our 3rd ranking in total defense. I dont care if Leinart completes 70% of his passes as long as we keep them out of the endzone. Not to mention that it's very possible that he fumbles the ball alot and the other 30% of his passes could result in an INT or 2. Damon Huard has had a good completion % but most of his passes are dump offs or check downs, especially in the DEN game. I think ARZ will do something like that to prevent Leinart from making silly mistakes, however I dont think it will score them alot of points.

Don't worry or look into this too much. We are going to kill Leinart on SUN. That Oline is too shitty for him to have a good day, we just need to blitz the living hell out of him.

Hound333
10-05-2006, 02:51 PM
Because this won't happen I don't care what he thinks. Every week we have people that slam us and people that prop us up. Every team sees some of this every week. Unless you are the Colts. Everyone in the media seems to line up to smoke Peyton's poll.

Peter King doesn't like the Chiefs because one...he's a Jets fan and that Herm thing pissed him off to no end.

Also the Leinart stuff is alot of people think Leinart is going to be good more so than the Chiefs defense is bad. Leinart is alot more ready than most rookie QB's.

I think King was raped by Bam Morris.

We could end up 1-15 and NO ONE is going to have a 70% completion percentage against us.

Reading this makes me glad, for the first time ever since he was hired, that Gunther is our DC. Gunther wants to harm Leinart the way I want to harm Greg Robinson.

I am stoked about this game.
