100,000 miles. Anyone know anything about this car?

Bob Dole owned a 2002 2.3 CL and it was one of the most trouble free cars Bob Dole has ever owned.

It has 100,00 miles.

It has 100,00 miles.

The only major concern about an Acura with 100k is whether the scheduled maintenance (especially timing belt) has been performed.

Thats what I wanted to hear. This is a 2 door GS Sport Coupe I'm looking at. One of my daughters friend's dad said he would take $4,500 asking $5,700. I just looked up the Kelly book on it at $7,535 in excellent cond.

Funny you mentioned that, he said he just had the timing belt replaced.

If they have the maintenance records it sounds like a good deal. That car should be good for another 150k, easy.

It's a damn sharp car, I think I'll drive it around tomorrow for a while and make a decision. It was kept in excellent condition, like new. Thanks for your input, I feel better now. I'd never heard anything about them.

It's not GM. It cannot be trusted.

Bob Dole found a used RX-8 and made an impulse purchase or the Acura would likely still be in the drive. Aside from a little more lean/drift than Bob Dole prefers, it was a great little car.

Does it have frame damage? Kelly BB is usually way off base and no car with 100 k will ever greade out as excellent-so I don't know why they even have that on their site. If you look at wholesale trade in value that will be a lot closer. Tell your friend you want to do a test drive and have the car appraised at Carmax-that will tell you the REAL value.

I have a 2003 3.2CL. It is a wonderful car, only 44k. I am trying to sell it because my company just gave me a car and I have no use for it. Man I am going to miss that car.

No frame damage. The trade in value is between $4,345 and $4,850. This car is imaculate inside and out. If ever there was a used car that could be considered excellent condition, this is it. I'll post pictures of it tomorrow.

Acura's a pricey car-so you might just have a pretty darn good deal there. Tell him 4 grand is the best you can do-that would be a bargin. Should get a min of 100 k to 150 k more miles without any major problems.

Good luck-sounds like a great deal.

Me? Here is the link. I am asking $15,500 for it because I just put $1k worth of Michelin tires and a new battery. I'd take $15k for it though. Trade in is around $14k. Here is the link.

100,000 miles. Anyone know anything about this car?

Almost bought a 2001 GS-R...I loved it at the time but decided I couldn't/didn't want to afford the 400 dollar payment at the time. What is the exact model, who was the previous owner (teenager or adult), and what's the price? If I was looking economy, I'd definately look into a Late 90s-Present used Civic....

Does it run on regular unleaded or premium? That's something to consider the next time the price of gas goes through the roof.

I have a '99 2.3 CL with 140K on it and have had no problems whatsoever. I also have a friend with a '98 Integra (I think its a '98) and its still running strong. Excellent cars.

I had a 1999 Integra GS-R. No problems mechanically. Beautiful engineering. However, they are death taps in the rain. Do NOT drive them in ice or snow.

why so? It's still front wheel drive isn't it? I don't enjoy driving my Civic in the elements but what other car, other than a 4 x 4, do people feel comfortable in? The wife has a 2003 Altima and I guess it does OK in weather...

The only major concern about an Acura with 100k is whether the scheduled maintenance (especially timing belt) has been performed.

I had a '99 Monte Carlo that was an absolute beast in the snow; it was heavy and had FWD. Best car I ever had for handling in bad weather. I sure do miss it when winter rolls around and I have to fill up the trunk of my Mustang with cat litter.

Yeah, it was FWD. Probably the stock tires and not much weight over the front. No kidding; that car was a death trap in inclement weather.
