Whats his status? Is he coming off the PUP?? Do we need him back for depth??

Depth? No I think we have enough bums riding the bench.

Page and Pollard are depth at safety right now. Why would we need Bartee?

Then again, they might be able to use him as a backup next year when they let Sammy Knight go.

Yeah. And while we're at it let's sign back Jason Belser and Lyle West.

Wow, this defense kicks the crap out of the ones from years past

Warfield would make a good FS I would think. Sign him for the NFL minimum and have him backup Page and Pollard. Cut Bartee because he's a piece of shit that has never done anything while in a Chiefs uniform.

No, this one's burned beyond recognition. Hence, Bartee.

I bagged on Sammy 1 time here long ago, but he's Lott compared to King William the Burnt. I honestly want to see Knight back next year he's a high character type guy from all i can tell who misses a few yet has made some clutch plays for us in his short time.

Off topic, but I'll bet William Bartee thought that LJ's injury was particularly serious.

I like Sammy Knight. I just don't think he has a future with the Chiefs. His skills are eroding. I'm guessing that Pollard will take over by next season, if not sooner.

Why not? That's what his position was in college was it not? He can tackle and doesn't necessarily have the speed for corner but sure as hell would for a FS. He wasn't all that bad as a CB anyways and is better than anyone we have not named Law or Surtain.

Sure Pollard will get the nod next year but Sammy would be great veteran depth and he has made some big plays, picks in particular.

Nice one, probably because Bartee cant turn that head around even in the slightest bit.

Thank you for acknowledging it. I was worried that it was too obtuse.

Sammys playing a lot more consistant and with more confidence this year, he even got himself an interception, I expect him to finish the year for sure at his position. MAYBE next year pollard will start...damn I am exited to see him start and see if he lives up to the hype
