Yea I noticed that they have it on PPV for $29.99

That ****ing sucks. :cuss:

We live in the area and pay taxes for the state college but we gotta pay to watch the goddamn game on TV. :shake:

This is all Skip's fault because he is the cable guy.

Dammit Skip. :cuss:

Need to do better on first and second down.

Bugeater

Sam Hall

I'm disappointed CU finally won.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 05:55 PM
It seems like the Blackshirts are getting plenty of pressure on Freeman.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 05:55 PM
KSU 0-3 on 3rd down

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 05:56 PM

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:02 PM

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:04 PM
Freeman finally completes a pass. First down KSU

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:06 PM
3rd and short for KSU.
Sounds like they got it.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:08 PM
I stand corrected. 4th and an inch for KSU. They're going for it, and got it.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:10 PM
KSU is trying a lot of play-action to help Freeman.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:11 PM

There's really not that many on CP, they're probably hiding out at ksufans.com.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:11 PM
3rd and 8 for the Wildcats near midfield.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:12 PM
Little scare on fielding the punt by Nunn.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:12 PM

Bugeater

I don't see our friends, Saul and William.
They've been fairly quiet all week. KSU now 0/6 on 3rd downs.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:17 PM
UT now up on Baylor 21-10, nothing to see there.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:20 PM
NU has to punt again, KSU takes over at their own 15

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:21 PM
Nice 15 yd pass by Freeman.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:22 PM
Too bad there's only :07 left in the half.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:23 PM
Another long pass completion by KSU, down to NU 35

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:24 PM
with :02 left KSU to try a FG.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:27 PM
I'll be back before the 3rd quarter starts.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:27 PM
FG no good, end of 1st half.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:49 PM
Damn, burned on a shovel pass.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 06:51 PM
Corey McKeon down, that's not good.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 06:52 PM
KSU has the ball on their 41. 3rd and 10.
LB McKeon is hurt, favoring his left ankle. Another injury at linebacker

I knew they were going to give us trouble, we were lucky to get that quick 14 pts on them.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:00 PM
Josh Freeman, meet the Blackshirt defensive ends :p

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:01 PM

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:02 PM

His return is questionable.

Bugeater

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:05 PM
Wow great run by Lucky, TD Nebraska!

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:06 PM
Breaking News: Mo Purify needs more touches.

Nice TD run by Marlon Lucky.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:07 PM
No kidding, that was a ridiculous catch by Purify.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:10 PM
3rd and 3 for the Wildcats

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:13 PM
KSU is running safe plays to give Freeman more confidence.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:13 PM
Freeman seems to be getting into a groove, we need to put a stop to that.

Coach
10-14-2006, 07:14 PM
K-State needs a new offensive coordinator.

If Freeman can run at 4.6 and Patton at the 4.4 range, there should be some option plays for K-State. Unfortunately, they don't have any.

It looks like K-State hired Paul Hackett, because their offense is so damned predictable.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:14 PM
Heh, another false start on KSU.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:17 PM
I'm glad the coaches are recruiting several DBs.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:17 PM
Huge sack on Freeman, loss of 234525676 yds.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:19 PM
The Wildcats offensive line has been dominated all night.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:19 PM
53 yd FG GOOD for KSU.

OldTownChief
10-14-2006, 07:19 PM

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:24 PM
There's Mo Purify again for a first down

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:25 PM
Odd series of play calls there.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:26 PM
Don't know what those long passes were all about. Guess Callahan has to give us something to bitch about.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:26 PM
Odd series of play calls there.

I'm getting bored by the offense.

Sam Hall

Hey look Sam, you have a 100 post thread!

I think this is my second. Needless to say, I don't start many threads.

Bugeater

Jesus Christ Nunn, what the hell was that?

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:30 PM
I think this is my second. Needless to say, I don't start many threads.
Neither do I, I've only started about a dozen since I've been here.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:31 PM
Before anyone asks, Kansas State is not hanging in this game. Nebraska is in control. The Wildcats offense has done very little.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:33 PM
Damn, should have had them pinned at the 2.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:34 PM
All I ask is one more NU touchdown, and hold KSU scoreless in the fourth quarter. 28-3 is good enough.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:36 PM
All I ask is one more NU touchdown, and hold KSU scoreless in the fourth quarter. 28-3 is good enough.
I'd settle for the latter. They've found some of our weaknesses on defense.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:38 PM
I'm telling ya, Suh will be a force to be reckoned with.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:39 PM
I'm not so sure that "incomplete pass" wasn't intercepted.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:40 PM
That ball was caught by a NU defensive lineman before it hit the ground.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:41 PM
YES, INTERCEPTION!!!!!!!!!

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:42 PM

They both were fairly obvious calls, having video helps too.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:45 PM
I'm not happy about the offense.
They need a big week of practice before UT comes to town.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:48 PM
I think Callahan is trying to protect the lead and get out of town.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:48 PM
I'm not happy about the offense.

Our offensive line just isn't good. I'm not sure there's much that can be done at this point.

Bugeater

KSU is threatening here.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:51 PM
Down to the one, and a loss of two yards. 4th and goal from the 3

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:51 PM
Turned it over on downs.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 07:53 PM
Should be ball game.

Coach
10-14-2006, 07:53 PM
Typical K-State offense.

Can't score a TD when needed to.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:54 PM
I'm pleased with the goalline stop by the Blackshirts.
Coz has called several good blitzes.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 07:59 PM
It's time to put Mo Purify in the starting lineup.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 08:03 PM
Good win for NU, we take the Big XII North lead.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 08:06 PM

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 08:10 PM

Not sure if he was hurt or if Callahan just wanted to change up. You never know with him.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 08:14 PM
I'm uncomfortable about next week. I have a feeling UT won't be any easier than USC.

Bugeater
10-14-2006, 08:20 PM
Uncomfortable is a good word. Texas is looking like a buzz saw right now, I'm sure they're going to be able to take advantage of our depleted secondary. And who knows wtf our offense is going to be able to do to them. Luckily Mizzou lost today so we'll be even with them if we lose.

The division will come down to the NU/MU game. Like I said last week, I like our chances. NU plays better at home. Plus, Pinkel showed his old self today.

Coach
10-14-2006, 08:26 PM
If Nebraska can consist a pass-rush against the freshman QB in McCoy, they should do OK.

As for your O, do alot of quick passes with a occasional deep throw to keep them guessing.

Congrats on the win, Nebraska Football fans.

Some thoughts...

I am enjoying the maturation of Josh Freeman. He is going to be a great QB for K-State, IMO. He has made progress every game he's played in.

Our offensive line is terrible..but young. They seem athletic enough, just no experience.

Our defense continues to impress me - I just wish the offense could keep them off the field.

I'm not sure I see 2 more wins for the bowl game. Perhaps vs Iowa State, maaaaybe @KU.

Sam Hall
10-14-2006, 08:30 PM
I think Callahan will run like he did at USC. Pete Carroll said other teams have tried to replicate Callahan's strategy. USC has had some close games lately. Apparently it was a good strategy.

BWillie
10-14-2006, 08:30 PM
How come both of them couldn't lose? Games like this suck

Coach
10-14-2006, 09:48 PM
Doesn't the requirement to be bowl eligible to win six games against D-I teams? (Not including D-IAA)

I couldn't remember if that is the rule or not.

I'm just not sure what to make of this offense after seeing it live for the 2nd time. It's a chicken/egg thing.
Are we not running option because we have only two QB's? Or because we've scrapped it completely? Or because the OLine can't block?
I want to jump on Franklin, but I'm not sure it's his fault. Yet.

If you don't use a FB, the line better be able to zone block and give a lane. They couldn't. Again.
INside the 5 yard line, why not stop the no huddle and get the right people on the field for the 3rd down play? Instead they had 8 guys at the LOS and the SS walked up and timed the snap count to let PAtton get killed at the 4 yard line.

Really, really bad.

D was stellar. Again. Gave up too much on the ground (which surprised me.) Normally Taylor rolls out more than he did in this game. But when he did roll out, KSU's speed bounced him around.

1. I doubt you see the option run under Ron Prince, ever. It is not in the playbook.

2. They can't zone block very well, but they are young, so hopefully they will get better. Plus the fact that half the line aren't built to zone block, the results are ugly.

3. Yeah, the goal line offense is terrible. Not sure what to do about that.

4. NU is a good rushing team, and again, our defense was on the field way too long. You could tell by the poor tackling.

Doesn't the requirement to be bowl eligible to win six games against D-I teams? (Not including D-IAA)

I couldn't remember if that is the rule or not.
It used to be that you could use a D-1AA win once every two years, but I'm pretty sure that you can use one every year now.

Anyway, good game Husker fans. You got the inside track to the North now.
For the moment anyway....

At the game. You get the night from tearing tickets at the theater?

You paid to watch Kansas State?

Since when did I attend there?

Yes Sam. Every year. You see, some of us live in a society where we exchange money for goods and services. It's all part of what we call an "economy". Believe it or not, you are actually a part of this when you tear the little tickets for the all folks at the theater while wearing the little pilot uniform.
I was obviously mistaken in thinking you were aware of this. You'll learn more about this when you move out of the house.

Ah..I didn't notice the "I work at a movie theater."

I only strive to become part of the intellectual elite that is the Husker fan base.

I was going to remind Sam that there were HUsker fans at the game that .... get this..... paid money to see Nebraska play....... K-State.

That's the thing about Sam. He's not very smart, but he is really, really slow.

I'm dumb and slow? Try driving 40 miles to school every day, carry a full class load, work on the school newspaper and then go back home and work 30 hours a week. Most people wouldn't want to do that.

No, I'm not the damn ticket taker. I earn more than most college students. You're being a stupid fool. The best you can do is run movie theater smack. This loss obviously hurts. Ron Prince basically ignored Callahan at midfield after the game. What a bunch of sore losers.

You're obviously desperate if you have to look at someone's profile to help you run smack.

Let it out, Sam. Let it all out. You poor, poor kid.

If you didn't see the game how would you know if Prince "basically ignored" Callahan at midfield? Is this another Huskerpedia rumor that is making the rounds?

Is it anything like the famous rumors of other Husker fans who claim their tires were slashed, their children molested, their elderly fans pushed down stairs to their deaths, and other tails of mayhem that happen (only to Husker fans btw) in Manhattan when the Huskers lose?

Never in my existence have I seen a fanbase that cries as much as (some) of you Huskers. But it's different with you, Sam. You cry when you team wins. Your an amazing case study Sam.

That must have stung. I'm sorry. Would you like to know what I do for a living so you can make fun of it?

The truth is Sam, you asked :

Where are all the Kansas State fans ROFL

As though I/we were avoiding the thread. (I believe it was bugeater who said "probably hiding out as ksufans.com)... Now that is funny.

Followed by: I don't see our friends, Saul and William.

To which I replied several hours later:

I was at the game. Did you get the night off from tearing tickets at the movie theater?

Have you known me (internet wise) to hide away from a thread? Rememer something Sam, if you don't like having a little stinging humor thrown your way, don't ask for it by calling my name.

I said "good game Husker fans" in this thread once. I meant it. I'll say it again since one time wsn't enough for you.

Good game Husker fans. Now, is that enough for your delicate ego Sam? I'm not - metaphorically - ignoring you at midfield? I even bolded it.

Now if that isn't respect, I don't know what is.

One more thing.

Sam I apologize for the ticket tearing comment. I do know it's real bitch working and going to school. It's takes a real commitment to do that. I did it a long time ago.

And I don't care what kind of work you do, at least it's work. And there are waaaay too many folks who don't give that kind of effort.

So again, I apologize for that comment.

So, even though I may fling some monkey poo at you at times, it's all in fun.
