Well here it is Thursday night and football talk is at a premium, so i send out the clarion call to any & all Seacrock trolls, week 7 lurkers and normal joes who wanna spout off about their team. We can talk smack or have intelligent football analysis, you make the call. Can Seneca get r dun? who is your RB again?, is Darrell Jacksons cartilage as dry as kiln dried cardboard? does David Hassellhoff need hair plugs or a toupe? Does Holmgren look to square to ride a Harley? Help me answer these pressing questions wont you.

Maybe they are like zona fans, just to milquetoast to get out and razz the competition. It would be nice to see some, there is far to little football talk this late in the week IMO.

Boatwright was married to country music singer Wade Hayes. The couple is now divorced. She is currently dating Casey Wiegmann who plays center for the Kansas City Chiefs.

She currently lives in Tonganoxie, Kansas, and is an on air personality for KCSP, also known as 610 Sports in Kansas City. She is the co-host of Sports Rap every Sunday from 10:00 to noon. She also appears on The Fantasy Show on ESPN2.

What a difference a week makes.. Last Thursday night us Seahawk fans were still glowing from the road win at ST. Louis (don't think they will be easy at home next week good luck tho) and we were ready to smack the Vikings around Qwest and go 5-1 (admit it you thought we would win).

Now Fast forward to this week and we have lost our starting QB, benched our starting safety continue to give up big plays on defense and cannot run the ball at all, and we get to travel to freakin Arrowhead.

I seriously cannot remember a week where I went from thinking home field throughout to not even sure if we'll make the playoffs. (kidding, I know we'll make the playoffs)

It's actually a little intriguing, perhaps the Chiefs won't be quite as jacked up as they should be and perhaps we'll be extra fired up like wounded dogs and pull off a W there.

Perhaps..;)

I'd like to see Holmgren boot Seneca a lot early, and perhaps let him scramble for a few first downs on the first posession to get the Chiefs defense to adjust to his speed and athleticism, but Holmy will pretend Seneca is Hass and not change a damn thing. You watch.

I can't say I miss watching the Hawks play at Arrowhead but I will enjoy re- living the old AFC West days.

Hopefully we'll pull off the W and nobody gets injured on either team..

One other tidbit. Leroy Hill has been the backer responsible for covering the tight end, however Julian Peterson is lobbying (http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/seahawks/) for the task this week. Should be a fun battle to watch..

If Huard's out that would make it a little more interesting..

Huard hurt in Chiefs practice
By ELIZABETH MERRILL
The Kansas City Star
Just when it looked as if coach Herm Edwards’ bad luck with quarterbacks was turning, the Chiefs were hit with another injury Thursday.

Damon Huard suffered an undisclosed injury toward the end of practice, a source close to the team said, and his status is uncertain for Sunday’s game with the Seahawks. The injury came roughly 24 hours after veteran quarterback Trent Green returned to practice from nearly a seven-week layoff from a severe concussion.

Green isn’t expected back until at least the Miami game Nov. 12, but the Chiefs were confident because Huard had filled in admirably and led the team to a 3-2 record as a starter. His biggest win came last weekend, when he helped Kansas City to a 30-27 upset over the Chargers. Huard, who hadn’t completed a pass in five years before Green went down, is ranked fifth in the league with a 96.7 quarterback rating. He’s completed 104 of 163 passes for 1,163 yards and seven touchdowns.

The starting quarterback generally meets with reporters on Thursday afternoons, but Huard was absent this week. The club’s PR department said he was attending an NFL Players Association meeting. Much of the locker room was empty late Thursday, apparently because of the meeting.

Rookie Brodie Croyle took the reps at the end of Thursday’s practice, which was moved indoors because of the rain. Croyle, a finalist for the Johnny Unitas award last year at Alabama, is considered the Chiefs’ quarterback of the future.

But he’s untested and threw two interceptions in mop-up time Oct. 15 at Pittsburgh.

Edwards has had his share of headaches with quarterbacks. Four of his quarterbacks went down to injury last year in New York, and, in his debut game in Kansas City, Green was knocked unconscious after making his 81st straight start.

The Seahawks are also dealing with quarterback issues. Starter Matt Hasselbeck will sit Sunday because of a knee injury.

Mike Sando is going to write about it in tomorrows issue of the TNT. Sando is an outstanding beat writer for the Seahawks. Here's a link to his blog.

Peterson welcomes TE matchup
Posted by Mike Sando @ 01:48:49 pm
How will the Seahawks defend Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez? They're not saying, of course, but LB Julian Peterson wouldn't mind revisiting the matchup. Leroy Hill has primarily been the guy defending opposing tight ends this season. Peterson hasn't done it at all, instead focusing on rushing the passer (six games, six sacks). But in talking with Peterson this week, it was clear he'd love to mix it up with Gonzalez for the first time since 2002. This is a bit of a twist if you've been following Seattle linebackers over the years. For a while there, Chad Brown thought he was covering tight ends too frequently, at the expense of rushing the passer. Peterson isn't complaining about rushing the passer too much; its good for the team and very good for his Pro Bowl credentials. I'll have much more on Peterson and this potential matchup in a feature story written for our Football Friday section.

Julian would be wise not to rile up our mighty Scots kicker, he could find himself missing his legs from the knees down. Seriously though, i doubt Peterson gets the benefit of 15 non calls the way he did with frisco, and never underestimate the power of wanting revenge for TG.
