Time for the annual battle. Manning vs. Brady. Colts vs. Pats, John Madden vs. John Madden. After today's action, probably the game for the title of best team in the NFL right now.

I heard Manning has to go babysit Bills kids after the games so him & his wife can go celebrate. He's not allowed to have friends over to play video games either.

Rodney Harrison down after Peyton Vick scrambles outside like a double amputee and hits Harrison for the big gainer.

Any injury Harrison gets is warranted, IMO. That guy is so damned dirty he's got a 10 year run of "My name is Earl" to make up for all the bad karma he's accumulated.

It's not the strategy I'm critiquing it's the absence of faith in his kicker and the message it sends to his defense.

I have no prob with that in the second half...on the second drive it sends a definite message to your D. I mean, if you have that little faith in them, just onside kick it every time after you score.

I was talking about the fans not having loyalty for someone who started the whole ball rolling..that kick in the snow against the Raiders, is still the greatest clutch kick I have ever seen..it started the whole dynasty..

I use bill parcells as a user name..I dont care what he is doing now with the Cowboys..but he saved the franchise from the ravages of Kotite..he was the only coach at that time and place that could have done it..I still here people hating Parcells on my Jet board for leaving after 1999..and I just dont get it..

Nice language. I followed the whole thing. It was not a big difference in the end moneywise. Vinateiri wanted out PERIOD. He was unhappy with the franchise tag earlier. He wanted to go out playing in a dome too. He even said so.

Adam was cheered tonight at the start. What does anyone expect once the game is goin' in their own stadium? Silence? He's now the enemy. At that point any distraction any noise to try to win is fair game.

They could have signed him for a deal equivalent to his worth as a money kicker for them. They treated him like dog shit. They didn't have to tag him. The Patriots are a very efficient franchise, but they treat their players like absolute dog shit. It's hard to like a team that pisses on the players who put their bodies on the line like that.

That was hilarious. Pats will not overpay for certain positions period. That's their system and it's worked. He's only a kicker. Yes he's clutch but he was also put into those positions by Belichick too. His last season he lost about 5 yards off his kicke and started missin' too. BB didn't use him as much in certain situation like long kicks to work around it. This is a team sport. They WILL pay certain players and positions like Seymour. It must WORK as they've been a proven playoff team.

Fact is someone in the Boston press analyzed his endorsements over time in NE as a legend. He would have made more.

Reggie Bush is Dave Meggett. Nothing more, nothing less. People key on him because they think he's important, not because he really is, and the 3rd round comment was obvious hyperbole....nevertheless, if teams actually looked at what a player could contribute rather than his hype he would have slid way down the board.

People laugh, the Chiefs have a shot. Just look at the watered down Super Bowl last year. The key is to just get in the playoffs, give yourself a chance. Look at all the "best" teams that played today. Chicago turned the ball over 6 times (and it wasn't the first time they did it), Indy and New England both looked sloppy, the Giants barely beat the Texans, the Falcons flopped, Chargers let the Browns hang around far too long. There isn't a dominant team right now. Really the Colts are the closest thing... and nobody trusts them in January.

A running back that goes #2 in the draft should be able to get you 1200 yards rushing. Given that he's not a pure running back, he should at least give them 1500 yards from scrimmage to justify that draft pick.

Not when they give more carries to the other back....because they're busy lining Bush up at WR half the time because Devery Henderson isn't that great.....and then using him as a decoy to get things open.

I'm playing in a league with RB and WR/RB slots, so a lot of people have 4 or 5 RBs. I have him as my 4th/5th RB (Behind Portis, Chester Taylor, Droughns, Mike Bell)...even there, he has sucked ass. He has that kind of talent........you have to realize the Saints aren't an overly talented great team. Their Oline is below average at best. There's a reason they picked 2nd last year. They have a good record somehow because when you see them they don't look that good......

He's been worse than anybody could've possibly imagined. I thought he would never be able to shoulder the full load, and would need a LenDale-type to compliment him. I said he'd be a better and more durable version of Brian Westbrook. But Bush isn't Westbrook, he's Michael Bennett with better hands. He is fast and has all the physical tools to be a good back, but he doesn't have the vision or running instincts elite rbs have.

Many people wondered a loud if Matt Leinart's production was benefitted by his supporting cast. I think that objective question was used on the wrong Heismann winner.
