View Full Version : Did Black Save Huard's Life?

Okay, what happened on that longer touchdown to Tony G.? That Ram dude came running in and then just inexplicably took a dive right before he would have nailed Damon, Lord of the Pass.

I only got to see one replay, but it looked to me like perhaps he stepped on Black's foot or perhaps tripped over his foot as he was running by. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Are you suggesting there was a speed bump on I-65?

The guy just whiffed. No one landed a block on him.

Huard did take a step, but it was a small one. The guys just whiffed.

By the way, Black played really well today. The left side wasn't our problem with St. Louis' pass rush, it was the right.

And it wasn't even that big of a problem. Turley played impressively against a good pass rusher. Turley blocked well on the run. The major problem was Welbourne, surprisingly, who gave up numerous big plays. He'll sharpen up, but today he was looking a little weak.

Maybe. It was unintentional if anything.

It definitely wasn't intentional. Black was tied up and concentrating on another Ram dude. It looked, though, like the blitzer's right foot came down very, very close to Black's right foot as he was going by.

Yep, it's plays like this that are why Jordan Black is our Left Tackle of the Present. He took out two rushers on that play.

Remember when Roaf would just stick out an arm and maul the other guy on his way to the QB?

*sigh*

Not unless he farted and caused the dude to pass out just before he got to Damon.....

Roaf made sandwiches out of Dwight Freeney.

Roaf made sandwiches out of Dwight Freeney.

Roaf straight up destroyed Freeney, and pretty much everyone I ever saw him play against, save for his late performance against Tampa in '04 when he was sucking wind. All things considered, he may be the best football player (relative to his position, not what he did for us) who ever put on a Chiefs uniform.

I wouldn't argue against that, Hamas.

Roaf made sandwiches out of Dwight Freeney.

He needed a side dish for all that gumbo.

I wondered why the rb at the time didnt stay in and pick up the blitzer? He looked to be drifting out to be the safety valve, but he surely had to see the blitzer coming before he left, ,it should looked obvious to me!
