I can't find this posted....Did anyone see on one of the kickoffs. Tynes flew into the screen and make the tackle around the 25 yd. line. This totally caught me off guard...did anyone else see this????

Yep, I saw it. I was on the chat and mentioned it, but no one responded. He was in and out of the picture pretty fast.

I did, but wasn't sure if it was him or not. I replayed on the DVR once and all I could tell was that it was a single digit uniform number, so i figured it must be him.

I just checked the box score and he was credited with a solo tackle. Nice job Larry!

I have really come to like Tynes. The dude is not your average pussy mommas boy kicker. Tynes isn't afraid to make a hit, he's very good kicker, he gets into bar fights, what the hell more could you ask for?

Yes, I saw it. Tynes made a tackle! It wasn't a sissy kicker tackle, where he gets tangled up with the runner and they both fall down and it looks awkward. No, he flew in there and wrapped the guy up and dropped him. I loved it!

I love the attitude, but you can be certain Herm ripped him a new one for risking the kicking game, and rightfully so.

It was an impressive tackle. He came flying in there like a tiny little safety.

He looked pretty quick flying in there to make the tackle.

I noticed the single digit fly in there also, but wasn't sure it was him. I thought "if that's Tynes, what's he doing following the coverage so far downfield?". Still, it was a thing of beauty!

Even our kickers a trying to make the JACKED UP highlights.

Anyone got the video? Was listening on the radio. When they first said Tynes made the tackle at the 25, I assumed we had a complete breakdown in kick coverage and it was the Chiefs 25.

Lost in most of this discussion, is he ignored his assignment. While I love the kicker-dude's attitude, his job is to lay back and cover for a breakout, as the last line of defense.

Would still love to see this video, if someone can find it. Matter of fact, it seems both of our kickers have a nice attitude, very un-kicker like. Colquitt has laid some nice hits at times too.

I didn't realize he had made the tackle on the 25, as reported here. I thought it was closer to midfield.

I, for one, think Tynes is doing the right thing by going on down field to nail the ball carrier. More often than not, when the kicker stays back as a last line of defense, he gets juked out of his panties and fails to bring down the returner because the kicker (1) fears seeing the returner running towards him while he's in a stationary position, (2) lets the ball carrier play him, and (3) has no idea how to make an open field tackle. I hope they continue to allow Tynes to do what most likely feels more natural to him.
