Half way through the season, who are you're top four picks? Who's destined for the conference championships in your eyes?

My picks-

AFC Chiefs @ Colts
NFC Vikings @ Saints

(my preseason picks were Steelers @ Pats and Rams @ Panthers)

I'm a homer, but I think the Patriots and Chiefs are the class of the AFC. Neither team has a glaring weakness. Everyone else does:

Colts - run D
Denver - offense, pass rush
Baltimore- shitty O
San Diego - Marty
Jags - shitty O

Are you seriously saying that the Colts don't have any glaring weaknesses? Whats that run defense then?

I think our secondary, as of right now, is a big time weakness.

:banghead: Thats what happens when you don't look carefully. I would hardly call the Chiefs the class of the conference though.

that being said, the winner of the AFC West (Chiefs, Chargers or Broncos) and the Colts are my class of the AFC.

I see the winner of the West @ Indy in the conference championship...

NFC, I'm going to go out on a limb here:

Dallas @ Chicago

It's not apparent right now but I believe it will be by the end of the year. I only see us losing one more game.

Broncos vs Colts

Bears vs Giants

I would love for the Colts to go undefeated only to be bounced from the Playoffs @RCA Dome by us because LJ drops 200+yds and 4 TDs on them. That's my dream situation.

The Giants are the class of the NFC. The way that defensive line of theirs consistantly controls the line of scrimmage is too convincing. Bears have the easier schedule, though so they'll have the homefield advantage.

NFC Championship: Giants visit Soldier Field, and escape with a win.

As far as the AFC, three of the five best teams are in the AFC West, for god's sake! The Battle for the AFC West will require the winner to have elevated their level of play to amazing heights of talent, capable of defeating every team in the NFL, except the Colts.

AFC Championship: the winner of the AFC West visits the Colts, and loses by a couple scores.

Super Bowl: big brother Peyton shows Eli who's boss. Colts by a couple scores.

How freaking sweet would it be to go to Indianapolis and Denver and knock those fugwads out of the playoffs at there place.

Manning would slaughter our safeties, I'm afraid.

Agreed but it's not a GLARING weakness.

As of right now Chiefs are in the top 10..that should get a play-off spot..from there its a whole new season............

It will be for a QB with the pocket presence of Brady.

But we would have T.O.P. because of our dominant running game and get the last possession.

Who are you to call me an idiot? It's an opinion.

And you'll see. Vikings AND Saints will enter as wildcards, and both will go to the nfc championship game. Bears won't make it through divisional round, and Eli will be doomed in the playoffs just like his big bro.

apparently you missed the fact they were practically shut out by a terrible 49ers team...and apparently you forgot they were FRIGGIN' TERRIBLE.

I just think they have a good shot in the horrible nfc.

He threw 4 picks against a bad Indy defense last night.
I suppose you expect that to happen every time he plays them.

We'd have to hope the Patriots lose some games and end up facing Indy in the playoffs and lose to them. Our offense does not match up well against New England's defense. I would feel much more comfortable in another shootout with the Colts than getting stymied by the Pats.

RealSNR

I think we can all agree on one thing, and that's that the NFC is ****ing terrible. The Giants are the only team I fear. We'd stand a reasonable chance against Chicago as long as Rex Grossman is at QB.

Brian Billick took over the offensive play calling 2 weeks ago(don't forget he was O-cordinator in Minny when they went 15-1)and I've already seen a vast improvement.

They've scored 35 and 26 in those two games with the defense getting 2 and 1 td's in those games as well.Just saying I disagree with the shitty O comment and think by seasons end that offense and defense is going to be a deadly combo.

I don't know what all this playoff hoop-la is all about, but the chiefs play the dolphins this week. It's November, and not Janurary. One game at a time fellas, one at a time. Let's not get to far ahead of our selves here.
