To my amazement even ESPN can figure out how to fill 1440x900!

I was sure I'd get to see a whole new flurry of pop-up, autoplay, and otherwise just annoying garbage....

Got a Hanns-G from newegg, $199. Can't believe how cheap LCDs are getting! Lucky for me, no stuck pixels either!

It's SUPER nice, the stand telescopes up/down, and of coarse tilts too. Nice piano black finish too.

I upgraded to LCD about a year ago. Much better than CRT and I'll never go back. My only complaint is that I can see every little imperfection in images and video.

LCD's sure seem to be easier on the eyes when you use them all day too. I used to get headaches all the time with CRT monitors, don't really seem to have that problem anymore...

NO kidding?? 200 bucks? A friend of mine has a 27 or 32 inch? widescreen apple monitor that he spent almost 4 grand on. It has a great picture, but I don't know if I'm willing to spill out 4K. How is the picture this bad boy? Is it kinda poopy or something?

Anything 24" or lower is very reasonable these days.

That wide screen is also great if you're into any kind of PC gaming.

Couldn't get the TV? I am itching to buy a monitor, but am considering waiting for some PC deals during the holidays.

Still have to wait a couple years for that. Course, if the Chiefs do what the Chiefs do best at the end of the year, my set may have a brick or hammer in it. :)

The term "19-inch widescreen" is an oxymoron.

True. But it is a huge improvement over a 17" CRT.

Half Life 2 has been a blast on it. A whole new field of vision.

Congrats, that is a nice monitor. I finally ditched the monster CRT and got the Viewsonic 19" LCD myself about six months ago. It is much better and easier on the eyes.

Thanks GC. I swooped up on that link myself. Although, it is football season, I still like my LJ pic I got from those High Res Sportsline pics.

Wow, I can really notice the pixelation on photos on the web with this monitor. Even the Chiefsplanet icon the pictures in the header do not look very good with my monitor at the highest setting.

It is our curse! I now have only the highest standards for desktop wallpaper.

I went from a 17" CRT to a 19" widescreen LCD a couple weeks ago (<a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7636034&st=westinghouse&type=product&id=1134698030120">Westinghouse</a> on sale at Best Buy for $189. I put the old CRT on my other computer and I can't stand to use it anymore, it's such a night and day difference.

I might return the 19" though after seeing the Best Buy Black Friday sale papers, they have a Westinghouse 22" for $199, and a Samsung 19" for $129...

I saw a 32 inch HDTV monitor for $699. It was 1080 P as well.

I paid $1500 for my CRT HD TV 34 inch (biggest they made after the 40 inch because of flaws with screen tech.)

Just 2 years ago with stand.......

The 22" would probably be worth the pain of dealing with the lines. Having a large monitor is really nice. Those seem like some pretty amazing prices though. CRT or LCD?

I'm too lazy to actually check but http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/ usually have adds before they come out.

Wal-Mart seems to have a 42" HD Plasma under $1k. Probably some brutal brand but interesting to see a real HD plasma that cheap.

Do a Google search for Black Friday ads. There are several sites out there that have some of the ads posted.

From that bfads.net someone else just mentioned. I figured it'd already have been posted on here, I've seen it all over the internet the last couple days
