What.....they took a USC TD off the board and it was pretty clear Jarrett didn't catch that ball.

I'm just hopin' for a USC loss to up-end the whole BCS. No one loss teams damn it! I want to see a rematch of Michigan and Ohio State..or Rutgers..which doesn't look like it is going to happen now.

SC's 3rd down defense makes the Chiefs' D look good.

SC's 3rd down defense makes the Chiefs' D look good.

That's what happens when 75% of the defense is freshman and sophomores, but for the most part the D has been much better than could have been expected for all the young guys playing.

The O-Line needed to put a body on Mebane.

That was simply poor execution.

Well that worked out pretty well for Cal. Got the ball back close to where they had it originally, and 2 points.

Shit like this has happened all year........the entire team has like 3 senior starters......I'm really shocked we have a NC chance with the young players that are playing big roles.

I've seen every SC game this year. The last 2 weeks they have looked much better. I hope they turn it on soon.

My cousin is the Punter. I am surprised he kicked the free kick straight down the middle of the field (and short.) Cal has an excellent returner.

I hope they win the next 3. It would be cool to see my cousin in the Natl. Champ game.

That would be a tough catch, but Jarrett should have had it.

I have been trying to get over the earlier loss and doing stuff around my place. I just turned the game on and see that it's 2-6 or something? WTF is that? Then I see the scoreboard with Rutgers losing to cincy also. Weird night, eh?

the Talking Can

what have we learned today:

UM/OSU
USC/CAL
Rutgers/Cinci

that OSU and Michigan are still the two best teams in college football.....

This announcing crew brings back memories of the terrible Sunday Night Football crew from last year. Maguire needs to be banned from announcing.

I get the ribbin, and that's fine, but if I have to be serious, I didn't hear anywhere that Michigan was supposed to lose that one. Still, at the end of the day I can take a 3 point loss if we get a rematch. I f not, then I will just hate the hell out of OSU for another year, and hope like hell KC drafts Branch, Jake Long or Mario.

That Jarret reception looked exactly like to Steve Young to TO reception in the '98 playoffs vs. GB.

Let's hope this is a game winner too.

Of all the Chiefs games I have been to that TO reception was the best pass play I have ever seen in person.

(Close runner up was the Grbac to Rison at Oak on MNF in '97.)
