That's what I was thinking. Been really impressed by Page. Seems to be in good position, making plays, helped win the game today.

Which player do you think that we missed the most, other than Gonzo? I think Johnson, considering how the Raiders ran on us. He sticks a lot of that stuff.

wesley is the best tackler on the team. . .

And probably the worst in coverage.

Let's take Waters, Gonzalez, and DJ. Just throw Wesley back in the water.

I'm guessing Thursday is gonna be one of those "if this was the playoffs, (he) would play" type games. I can't believe Gonzo is ready, but I'm almost expecting him to be out there Thursday.

Would you rather have Wesley and Page or Knight and Page?

Wesley?

He's done a better job this year than in the last 3 to 4 on that, but DJ is, far and away, the best tackler on this team, followed by Tamba.

These two wrap up when they get to the ballcarrier.

Thursday's game is MONSTER.

It's the crossroads, IMO. If we win on Thursday, that will give us enough momentum for the rest of the season to get to the playoffs. If we lose...we're done.

If Waters and Gonzo are back then Herm/Solari are going to have to open it up more and let Trent pass the ball downfield. 9 completed passes and barely over 100 yards passing won't beat Denver.

Chiefs | Gonzalez plans to play Week 12
Sun, 19 Nov 2006 10:43:57 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Kansas City Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez (shoulder) expects to play Week 12. "There's nothing that could keep me out of that game. I'm already able to lift my arm above my head. I'm much further along than they thought I'd be," said Gonzalez.

If we want to go on a run and get to the playoffs, we need to start now.

I hope you were going for sarcasm there because Wesley is below average on tackling skills. Does the 2005 Giants game in the Meadowlands flash you back to reality? He is a good hitter, but in coverage and tackling he is not.

If you were going with sarcasm, let me add mine...and Kevin Sampson is our most durable player on the team.

I think Wesley has been taking a lot of unnecessary abuse. He's been playing pretty well this year. That said, I think the future at both safety positions is very bright with Page and Pollard.

I really hope we get DJ, Waters, and Gonzo back. That would be fanfreakintastic.

One of the NFL Network heads reported that Gonzo said he wanted to play but it was up to the coaches.

He's the same guy who before the Seahawks game said Tony was looking to get out of his contract after this season.

There was a sound clip that backed that up.

Well, I just know that Glazer has a pretty personal relationship with a lot of the players (Tony G specifically) and gets pretty good scoop.

i had dinner with dj friday night. he was walking with no noticeable limp. his ankle was wrapped. his concern was if he came back to soon, against the raiders, and reinjured his ankle, he wouldn't be ready to go against denver. he wouldn't guarantee he would go tho.

Bob Dole bumped in to Maz while he was still in town and was about to be put on IR, and he didn't have a noticeable limp.

Conversely, every time Bob Dole saw Willie Roaf, he looked like he could barely walk.

It's just tough to tell whether these guys are game-ready by casual contact. Bob Dole wants to believe that most all of them want to play every week. We've just got to trust the staff and players to take the information available and make the best decision for the team.

POLLARD and Page.

Everytime Pollard is on the field he does something.
Every single time!

Like bunnytrdr said, not totally. Hell, we could still run the table afterwards and end up 11-5.

We do need this game though, margin for error has shrunk.

Chiefs have to win this game because they still have to go to San Diego.

Lose this game & 10-6 is as good as you can do...

At least the Jaggies' schedule is favorable for us.

Nov 26 @Buffalo
Dec 3 @Miami
Dec 10 Indianapolis
Dec 17 @Tennessee
Dec 24 New England
Dec 31 @Kansas City

The Jets have it a lot easier.

Nov 26 Houston
Dec 3 @Green Bay
Dec 10 Buffalo
Dec 17 @Minnesota
Dec 25 @Miami
Dec 31 Oakland

Cincy is sort of inbetween.

Nov 26 @Cleveland
Nov 30 Baltimore
Dec 10 Oakland
Dec 18 @Indianapolis
Dec 24 @Denver
Dec 31 Pittsburgh

Obviously, winning this one keeps us well in the thick of the playoff race. But, losing doesn't close the door, either. Given all the factors and a careful and extremely thorough analysis of all available titty graphs, I'd prefer to win.
