Does anyone care that Jimmie Johnson just wont the Nextel Cup??

I didnt even realize there was a race today until i opened up Yahoo.

Why does neckcar even try and compete against the heart of the NFL season??

I don't care. And I'm a casual Nascar fan.

Exactly........They didnt do a very good job of promoting this???

Why is their biggest race at the beginning of the season instead of the last one??

Because there are plenty of ol' rednecks out there like my dad who couldnt care less about anything else.

I just dont get it...going around in a big circle all day, i mean i've been to some races and really enjoyed it... the people, the smell of fuel, being able to feel the power of the cars as they go by, but to watch some long ass race for 3 hours on tv... :banghead:

I much prefer the Indy style racing where they actually make left AND right turns on varying tracks.

Here's 10 mins of video that essentially gets you up to speed on the last 20 years of watching NASCAR:

nascar has been lacking since ole 3 went down. Not enough interesting drivers all these guys have having success at such an early age makes me hard to root for anyone. I liked it better in the old days where the drivers looked like they just downed a pitcher of papst at the local vfw.
