Ouch. Hadn't thought about that. Now the entire country that doesn't know about this will hate us.

Im a vet, I never feel any disrespect when I go to a game. Just tradition now; they can deal with it

I thought it was funny to read Rod Smith's comment on first time he came into Arrowhead and we chanted C-H-I-E-F-S at the end off the National Anthem and Rod said something about how he thought we were going to attack them.

Hopefully people will realize they are on national TV and not demean our anthiem on TV. Missouri is still recovering from billy ray cyrus singing at the world series.

Ive posted before, i do think its somewhat disrespectful, but i have no problem with other people doing it while they are there. It doesnt mean they dont love our country any less.

If the Chiefs were, somehow, not brave or not Americans I could see someone getting upset. This is not Soviet Russia though, the national anthem doesn't sing you. It's a statement about us and what we hold dear. How could inserting the Chiefs in there be offensive.

i don't see whatthe big deal with it is. its not like we are all talking through or ignoring the anthem. we've just altered it, to make it a lil more fitting. after all, the chiefs DO have season ticket holders in all 50 states.

The first (and only so far) game I went to I heard that, I got chills and it just had such a Roman Collosseum feel to it. Awesome experience. I recently got tickets for my Uncle, who is a Vietnam Vet, and I told him to be sure to be at his seat for the National Anthem. He loved it.

It's a F***ing god damn song, thats it. HOME OF THE CHIEFS BABY, I'm yelling extra loud you NFL network

Personally, I don't understand the point behind singing the national anthem before a sporting event other than the fact that it is traditional.

I would guess the tradition started in olympic sporting events? Anybody know

Seems like it started at baseball games during or immediately after WWII. It couldn't have started much before then because it wasn't the "National Anthem" until 1931.

Someone on here said the Atlanta Braves started it.

It sounds thrice times more imposing when you're actually there.

And I noticed some people jumped the gun and started CHIEFS before "brave"
