Our run D is pretty stout.

I think that credit not only goes to the players, but to the coaches as well. Stop the run, and force Plummer to beat you with his arm.

Yep. We were daring Plummer to beat us, and of course, he couldn't.

I thought the philosophy in Denver was that "anybody" could run behind that line?

Scheme > player.

although they were able to tackle Allen, is it maybe because their scheme was exposed sunday night?

With all respect to our defense, Denver running game has been mostly absent this year. Mike Bell, Tatum Bell and the rest have more or less shown this year that not just anybody can run big behind their line. I think their biggest running play from scrimmage is an end around or a reverse to Javon Walker.

They traded Portis a long time ago. Tatum is not a #1 back.

Also, if my stats are right, the 2006 Chiefs defense is now giving up less then 100 rushing yards per game.

Bingo! I said at the time that that trade displayed rather well the arrogance of the Rat. Trading away a home run threat for a CB? Sure, he may be the best CB in the leauge, but equivilant to a home run threat RB? That was stupidity based off of arrogance.

The intire defense is better. They have better
players too. Dick Vermeil could not spell defense.

I do my share of complaining about our lack of penetration at DT, yet they almost always stand up their guy enough to let the rest fly to the ball.

Anytime our guys hold the donx to 38yds. the DT's have accomplished their primary mission.

Well they did miss that one tackle yesterday. So once they stop allowing a 1-2 yard run to turn into a 3-4 yard run I say they suck. /end sarcasm

Yah, I am going to bed [as I have to get up at the obscene hour of 5:00], but this statistic deserves to be bumped over the trivia that currently infests the Planet.

We held “the System is all” to 38 FREAKING RUSHING YARDS!

You freakin’ bastiges need to stand up and pay homage to the Chiefs D for this totally AWESOME [in the proper definition of the term, as in deserving of awe] performance.

Bow down, you miscreants, and deliver proper long-delayed genuflection to the Chiefs D.

xoxo~

Looking for, nay DEMANDING, some freaking love for the Chiefs’ run D.

FWIW Mike Bell ran for 90+ yards and 2 TD vs SanDiego.

There was still a whole lot of cut-blocking going on. It seemed like Jared Allen was getting cut-blocked every play.

Of course that CB did probably keep 12 points off the scoreboard with his TD saving tackles as well.

What was the deal with one of their linemen having a grip on LJ's ankle, that pissed him off? Was the guy trying to twist it and injure him?
