I'm waching the game replay and I have two quick observations.....

The crowd at Arrowhead might have been the loudest I've eveer experienced and Cris Coliinsworth is a dumbf*ck.

I'll be passed out soon so I'll read your response tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm drunk.......

Making the night even more festive was an in-house standing-room-only crowd of 80,866, the largest since 1972, the year the Chiefs opened the facility that many call the loudest outdoor stadium in the league.

• Larry Johnson deserves to kick back a bit. Just four days after he ran 31 times for 154 yards in the Chiefs' 17-13 win over the Raiders, he was back at it, gaining 157 yards on 34 carries in his team's 19-10 win over the Broncos.

Get this: Johnson became the first player in NFL history to carry as many as 34 times in a game no more than four days after carrying 30 or more times in his previous game. The previous record was held by Julius Jones of the Cowboys, who carried 33 times vs. Chicago on Thanksgiving Day 2004, four days after he had carried 30 times in a game at Baltimore.

And Johnson joined Barry Sanders as the only players in NFL history who have gained 150 or more rushing yards in each of two consecutive games played within a five-day span. In 1997, Sanders ran for 167 yards in a Thanksgiving Day win over the Bears, four days after putting up 216 yards in a victory over the Colts.

Oh, yes, Johnson also scored the Chiefs' only touchdown of the game, extending to 29 that quirky NFL-record streak of consecutive team rushing touchdowns scored by a single player.

Only thing I find wrong with the game is when the refs called back that Pat Surtain interception. Yes there was contact after the 5 yard mark but nothing more than you see on a normal play by any wide reciever or cornerback. I think the refs just called that at the absolute worst time. But to think the score would've been 19-3 or very possible 23-3 judging that we could score a TD from 9 yards out after the interception. Also at the last drive of ours then on three downs inside the 10 yard line we run the ball three times in a row.... come on Herm stop this playing not to lose crap and build up a damn lead! But my throat is hoarse, my ears are still ringing, and my adrenaline is still sky high. I'm goin to bed!

That pain in the ass Bailey personally robbed us of two touchdowns with his shitluck shoestring tackles. If Balloon Head falls six inches farther away on either play, we win by 17, not 9.

Sorry, but I COMPLETELY disagree with you there. Touchdown or FG, we made it a two-posession game. If we had thrown a pass incomplete, it would have wasted 25 seconds of clock time - not to mention that there's always the danger of a pass being intercepted. It was down to only 3 minutes or so, so 25 seconds is HUGE. Running it all three downs, even though we didn't make it to the endzone, is EXACTLY what we should have done there.

There was defintly an "electricity" before the game like there was for the Playoff game vs. Indy. The crowd was in it from the start of the game during both. As we all know we couldn't stop Indy so the noise died down some but it didn't stay that way. I though the noise backed off a little on first and second downs in the 3rd quarter but it was a great effort by the crowd.

Because the cold in the other possibly games cuts down a little on the ability to make noise (everyone has gloves on) I'll give this game the highest maintained decibel level game since I became a season ticket holder during the Montana era.

The 12th Man was out in force tonight! http://www.chiefscoalition.com/Forums/style_emoticons/default/033102beer_1_prv.gif

Same with that number 40 (Cox?) who made an lucky ankle tackle.

It's like LJ was going to run wild, only to get tripped up by some player grabbing at the ankles/knees.

The penalty against Walls was bogus. Walls gave the guy a nudge at 7 yards instead of 5 yards. Technically, the penalty should be called but you know that happens on every play & it was on the opposite side of the play. Should have never been called.

The last drive all the Chiefs needed was a FG to make the Donko's score twice in 2 minutes. Would I have liked the TD? Sure, but the FG & keeping hte clock moving or making the Donko's use the TO's was the right call there.

It sounded loud on tv eventhough Gumbel & Collinsworth made the comment it wasn't as loud in the 4th quarter.

I Agree 100%

Note to the refs and NFL rules committee. Stop throwing flags on things that have zero effect on the actually play.

My son, who's 11, turns to me and asks why we didn't throw the ball and I'm explaining exactly this to him (or trying to, was unbelievably loud). I thought that we ran a very good game plan even if it wasn't the most exciting. This isn't the Dicky V Chiefs, things change. As long as the scoreboard makes me happy, I'm fine.

And the final Donk possession, 3 years in the Navy I was on an aircraft carrier and that was the only place I've been that was louder. The floor in our section was shaking and the roar was immense.

I was there last night. General impressions:

1) Great night for the City of KC. Plaza lighting ceremony and 80,000 people cheering when the lights went on. Man, I love Kansas City. The Plaza lights are so beautiful. What a great tradition.

2) Arrowhead was loud, consistently, throughout the whole game. It was the loudest since Elway played here. Fans were jacked up and in it the entire game. Truly a force of nature. When the fans beat on the chair backs to make a thunder rumble, it's awesome.

3) Denver came off the field at half over on the Chiefs bench, because of the halftime show. That's the first time I can ever remember that happening. I gave Nalen an earful. That cheapshot POS.

4) John Fogerty haltime? 90 seconds of five CCR songs? They brought in fake fans to "act excited" and jump up an down. WTF??? The fake fans didn't even get to watch the game. They just brought them in for the ten minute show, then they were escorted out of the stadium. Why not just let some of the regular paying fans on the field if they want to go out there? Fogerty walked right past my seats. We were going "Hey BONO!....Hey, Glenn Frey!....Uh, hey, aren't you Billy Ray Cyrus???" I love messing with celebrities. A few years ago Judd Nelson was on the sidelines as a guest of Albert Lewis, and we kept calling him "Emilio" just to f*ck with him.
Anyway, the fake fan thing was lame, and it didn't look like he was lip synching, but the backing instrumentals may have been canned. Hard to tell from my seats.

5) Neil Smith walking the sidelines with Neon Deion. Neon's overcoat looked like it was made out of black squirrel pelts. Does Marysville, KS know about this? Those squirrels are protected. And who do you think Neil was rooting for last night? Sorry, I still can't get over putting a Donk on the Chiefs ring of honor.

6) We're still having a hard time sealing the deal on quarterback sacks. We had Jake hemmed in a couple of times, but couldn't bring him down.

7) I think this may be the last year for Dante Hall. He seems to have lost a step, and he's too small to keep as a receiver only.

8) K Mitchell is going to be a free agent next year. Should we pay him big bucks?

9) Bryant Gumbel makes Wayne Brady look like Malcom X.

10) Is Lamar Hunt going to live to see the Chiefs win another Super Bowl?

I never booed so loud in my life as when they put that traitor piece of shit in the Ring of Fame. Might as well put Elway in it. What a travesty. :#

Yup, he made about 3 or 4 of those shoestring or ankle tackles. Gotta give it up for him, though. That's the kind of play that makes him one of the best CBs in the NFL.

Firstly, Collinsoworth was almost a Chiefs homer that game. He said good stuff about nearly Chiefs and spent most of the night slobbing Larry Johnson like he deserves.

Second, that interception that got called back was unfortunate, but not as bad as people here think. The flag was thrown BEFORE the pass was thrown. It was ticky tacky yes, but it was probably a make up call for a bad call that went our way 2 plays prior. Either way the flag was thrown and THEN Plummer threw the forced pass, I'm guessing Plummer saw the flag, knew he had a free play, and decided to take a shot to force something. So it was a gift interception in the first place, not as big of a play as everyone here seems to think.

Thirdly, going into that possession in the red zone. On first and goal I told my wife that we were going to see three straight runs and not only that I told her it was the exact right thing to do there. With 3 minutes on the clock and up by six, a field goal is almost as good as a TD since it puts us up by 2 scores which all but seals the win. So don't do anything fancy, just take what little runs you can and get the ball on sure footing for your kicker to seal the win. That's what we did, and it was 100% the right thing to do.
