Stats For Chiefs-Browns Game (Last Four Games) [Archive]

Some observations from the stats of both teams over the last four games (in which we both played two road games followed by two home games) follow. Even though the Browns haven't had much luck this year they match up well with KC allowing only 78 rushing yards per game at home. If they can hold onto the ball I think they're going to give the Chiefs a run for their money. Also think they're going to come out with something to prove after the Braylon Edwards/Charlie Frye dust up this week. Hopefully the Chiefs can continue their sterling performance against number one receivers and keep Winslow out of the seam.

Some additional observations:

* The Browns haven't topped 20 points in any of the four contests (and they've done it only twice all season).
* The Browns have given up more than 20 points five times this season, including three of the last four games.
* The Browns split their away games and lost both home games - but played the Chargers down to the wire at Qualcomm.
* The Browns are consistently beat in every offense category - and beaten badly.
* The Browns haven't broken 300 yards in offense during the last four games.
* The Browns have won only one game (at Oakland) where they didn't win the turnover differential all season.

Let's see...

Browns led 12-10 at the half?

Chargers led 17-15 after 3 quarters?

San Diego had to recover an onside kick to preserve the win, no?

I guess if you're not relying on screwed up officiating to overturn fumbles and render incomplete passes as catches it just isn't "down to the wire" is it?
