Why don't we use Bennet more as a recieving option like Dante Hall? With his speed this could create huge plays. What do you guys think?

He's a running back for a reason...

He was an pro bowl running back, and if he was going to be used as a wide receiver, he still wouldn't be much better than Hall. And still a #4 option, but it could be something to do if Solari got bored.

I've wondered a lot of times about some running backs being converted to WR, but I'm sure there is plenty more to being a receiver than speed and hands. Route running, reading the defenses to some extent. The primary job of a receiver is just to get open in the secondary, if he couldn't do that then there wouldn't be much use.

I'd imagine that right now it's simply because we're running so much more than we're passing.

It was, however, something he/we worked on in camp, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it, especially in Jokeland or Sandy Eggo, now that he's healthy and Green's healthy and the line seems to be doing a little better in pass protection.

I'd put him in the backfield with LJ, and Bigfoot. Time to run the wishbone..... I don't think Cleveland could stop that with 9 in the box.....

I love the idea. Someone needs to call Herm.

And who is the running QB in this wishbone?

If you wanted three running backs you could go with the full T. That has history with the Chiefs. Stram used it on the Raiders when all of the WR were hurt and we won something like 19 to 7 or something. The wishbone needs a running QB.

Good thought. I've had the same one recently. :D

Anyway, I'd put money down.....that we see him some in the slot; or, at the very least, a much more prominent check-off option for Green during December.

Bet? :)

I'm still anxious to see Bennet as a running back...with more than six carries.

Throwing to him in the flat, would probably be good for long gains ....

You can't use Bennett like you use Dante Hall. You can't use anybody like you use Dante Hall.

So was Dante.

I think it is good idea. The dude has 130 career receptions. And he's quick as a cat. Get him a little space and look out!!

I would love to see Bennett touch the ball and reduce LJ's carries by about 5-8 a game.

But our Dipsh*t coach believes in running LJ into the freaking ground as soon as possible?

IF you are going ot defend Dipsh*t better have good evidence. Cause LJ is on pace to shatter the record for most touches in the history of the NFL...
